I’m bored of Farida telling the housemates what the should be doing. She couldn’t even last longer than a week last time round, don’t think she’s in a position on how to play the game.

This series needed a shake up. It was very stale and rather dull. Love her or hate her, she’s done just that.

Exactly!
Plus I don't support her talking about the public's perception of the Housemates either, I don't get how ITV aren't more strict about it.

Because this series was in dire times as was really dull.
…we wouldn’t have had the highlight show that we were given today without Farida…and I loved it……she’s shaking them out of their coasting ways and also giving us a show that more resembles BB, to the one we’ve been seeing before her return…

I get that.
But can't Farida wind the Housemates up, without bringing up public perception of the Housemates?
…love her or not so much, she’s delivering and isn’t that what we hope for with any housemate…

It's forced drama though.
I like Housemates to have natural charisma.

Can't stand her.
One of the worst ever housemates there's been in a BB series.
She may yet have me not bother watching the rest of this series as long as she's in it
She gave us more in one ep than about 7 of them in there have over 3 weeks

I blame ITV but it also may just be that classic BB is very difficult in the age of self-censorship/political censorship.
Can't deny the heavy manipulation hinders a lot of the magic. However, so many of the ITV HMs have had a problem with being well choreographed imo (social media-savvy) and that makes them more predictable, aka dull, to watch.
Farida is a breath of fresh air that has pushed through this but only because she has the massive benefit of outside knowledge and studying the HMs for several weeks.
What we are watching is the equivalent of the plane crash on emerdale or Richard on coronation street. It's producer manipulation for the sake of it/viewing figures. The problem in this case is that Farida is a completely false, unpleasant person that the viewing public already decided they didn't like and dumped her after a week

Time for farida to go, bored of her allready
Farida and Emily as housemates was a terrible idea - both horrible people
Can’t believe how many forum members have been hoodwinked by Emily - we aloknew Farida was delusional and unpleasant
If they were gonna mess with the basics of having housemates who knew nothing about the goings on in the house then I would have kept Emily in the secret room for a week or so then let her enter the house and drop a few bombs then hook her out and properly evict her - they wanted to appear edgy didn’t they ?

Oh, I get people will hate her because she’s a lot of things people hate in a housemate and already had her chance before.
But at least she’s bringing in what she said she would and stirring them all up, which this season vitally needed. The next few weeks were going to get even staler than they already were.
Now we’ve got housemates springing into action because of Farida. Look at Marcus, Teja and Elsa for example last night. It’s some of the most animated we’ve seen them all.

…if Marcus was normally placid by nature then he wouldn’t have acted so strongly and so hostile…he’s ‘normally’ coasting along and hoping his ‘romantic’ attachment will hold him steady but Farida is shaking them up and his reaction was particularly the thing of interest…please stop with the ‘interesting some find watching…’…snidely remarks because it could equally be said …interesting that some fans of Elsa are defending Marcus when there are obvious red flags in his rage concern being about himself…no such rage or emotion when Elsa was being downvoted in the last task…please stop because it’s not ‘interesting’ at all, to see how easy it was to shake those character aspects out…anyway, enough, this is so draining…

More interesting than watching a fake showmance, Elsa singing, the snug crew just sitting together, Tate reading a bible etc. Another 4 weeks of that would have been even more dire.

You think that, but we’ve had a showmance in nearly every ITV season so far - of that Jordan won, Chris and JoJo/Nathan and BP made the final week.
Some people love them (not sure why, but they do lol).

I never get the appeal of a showmance. It’s rarely genuine, and I don’t want to watch people kissing and cuddling all day.

It's tough because as a housemate I think I like her... but in this instance it is effectively just production interference and she's gone in to deliberately stir things up in a formulaic manner. Not even half an hour had passed before she was telling people what they need to do to come across better...
I appreciate that that can create conflict and intrigue, but at the same time it's just inorganic and not really that interesting to watch.
I do however enjoy her complete sense of delusion. Talking about her fans, taking Sam's mentioning of her being "like meeting a celebrity" to heart, bestowing everyone with life advice and how to make it far in the show when she was evicted first and does nothing else but sit and eat all day

…I mean, I get that a completely 'contained and unnatural' environment like the house can accelerate feelings or distort them or whatever…?…but those are things that for me, can be explored once the house stay is over…anything that's real will stay and then can be developed…I completely agree with Farida is an experience that leaves so much nit experienced by absorbing in a romance/certainly from a BB fan view as we want to actually get to know individuals…so far as Marcus goes, for me, this is not a believable romance in his feelings as it was all too quick and he engaged in that as well yet has completely been overlooked and Elsa taking most/virtually all if the critic…

…does she eat much…?… I hadn’t noticed tbh…
…EDiT:…and I do get your points because your focus/summarising is of Farida…it’s the constant inferences of fans themselves whose views don’t align and the lack of acceptance of that…

Marcus just lost his temper is all.
Was it over something stupid? Yes, but I don't think it was so bad that it's a red flag for any romantic relationships that he might have.
We all have lost our temper over stupid stuff, it's just we're lucky that we're not being filmed on Big Brother.

It’s more the way he went for Elsa in his temper. Like when she was talking to Caroline, he got all paranoid for no reason and lashed out at her. Even when Caroline explained she wasn’t saying anything about him he still was annoyed at Elsa (when she hasn’t done anything wrong).

I understand that, hence why I do think that Elsa was in the right in the argument.
If anything he came across as someone that needs to act his age tbh, because he was reminding me more of a child rather than someone who's dangerous for Elsa to be around.

…yeah that’s it really, Mock…Ben has responded and there is very little to add…it’s how he focused that temper loss on Elsa, when she hadn’t played any part in creating anything…he chose to mark her the focus of his anger…as a female, I find that quite concerning because he knows that she’s quite non confrontational and a lover/not a fighter as it were…

Oh I 100% agree that his response was daft, I actually do hope that he apologizes to her about it tbh.
It's just he is a bit like myself I suppose, I can lose my temper worse than Marcus as I can get quite loud.
Which obviously can look really bad on a Show like Big Brother, especially towards a Housemate like Elsa.
I honestly don't believe that Marcus is a bad person, ITV don't really allow truly awful people on their version I personally feel.

…’bad person’…isn’t what I’m saying, though…what you’re saying about yourself is that ‘you have a tendency…’…and that’s something we know about ourselves in any aspect of our character traits, that we have a tendency…?..which takes me in a full circle of what he displayed/not only with the hostility of his reaction but where it was directed etc…doesn’t indicate someone who is normally placid by nature …he hasn’t had anyone really question his part in the ‘romance’ or him and how his personality may be being portrayed…and when he does, this first ‘challenge’ as it were…and he completely raged and raged toward Elsa, who had done nothing and who any such thoughts would equally cause her to question herself…(…which she didn’t, she said to heck with them all/this is about us…)..that to me is a ‘red flag’ to consider if considering a romantic relationship…with anyone, not just Marcus…
