View Full Version : Good housemate VS good person
Just from scrolling twitter you can see a lot of support for people like Feyisola and Zelah and a lot of hate for Caroline and Emily etc
But do people need to look past people JUST being nice/good people and start thinking about people who make good housemates
Caroline is obvs unhinged and i’d absolutely hate to meet her in real life, but as a housemate she’s essential in there currently to keep things interesting.
Same goes for Farida etc
Being a nice person is only gonna get you so far on reality tv, you need to also be at least interesting or have certain quirks like Elsa or Richard

Usually people I love as housemates are people I would run a mile from in real life

Fey is not a good person though.
She is a performative virtue bully that wears a progressive skinsuit in order to control others (You see why Reddit users like her so much?).
She also isn't good telly. Her and Ze and a few others have killed this season with their nonsense.
Farida shouldn't even be in there. She is just a producer plant that they are directing to artificually create drama because they fumbled this season so badly.

I don't see Caroline and Frida as good HMs, i don't like them so they spoil it for me. i don't want to see arguments, i like to them having fun and doing tasks.

Same. And unless it's an extreme case, I usually try to judge a HM purely on how they conduct themselves in the house, and less so for what they're said to have done outside of it.

We could have both, but they've been weaker with the tasks overall as many have not been well thought out (like secret room...) and they needed Farida&Emily to come in because Caroline vs Fey wasn't enough to create drama.

Feyisola a good person? Wth 😂

I’m not saying she is from my point of view, but that’s the collective point from her fans

There’s 100k at the end of it. People want it to go to a good person
You see less of this in the celebrity version when people are paid regardless of winning or not

Twitter are just judging these Housemates purely on their Political beliefs imo, rather than on if they're good people or entertaining.
For me, I preferably like a Housemate to have some likability and entertainment value to them.
Controversially, I don't think any of them in this series are necessarily bad people, therefore I don't like Twitter's self-righteous tone towards Caroline and Emily personally.

I think there's usually the right mix/balance of being a decent person as well as a good/entertaining housemate. People dislike Emily/Caroline purely bc of their political views which is ridiculous anyway :skull:
…so far as I know, they’re all good people and I guess that with any personality traits, it’s just our own way of processing things and behaviours that we attach to some but not so much with others…back in the day of old style BB when BB starved them and put them in cages and made them watch the ‘rich’ people eat their feasts while, some scrambled around for grains of rice…?..and the smokers had to go through nicotine depravation as well…then I used to think more about ‘journeys’ and what each had been through and how the whole experience seemed to have expanded their thoughts etc../all of that jazz…but now it just isn’t that in any of the same way…it is nice to have a housemate that you’ve championed throughout, in the final though…it just adds to the excitement of the moment…but I don’t see bad people in there…

I generally go for good housemates over good people until the penultimate and final week, then we get the good housemates who are bad people out, they're no longer needed.

I quite agree.
