I've been to Hong Kong .... it was "interesting" That was before China jumped in and clamped down on the locals though. I did visit one of the chinese islands while i was there and that was a bit of a culture shock too. I had to bribe immigration to get back into hong kong

…..ahhhh, many years ago I could have tagged along on a work visit as well but I wasn’t able to…so absolutely tag if you can, it'll not only be a great tourist experience but will also be nice for him to help him have some chill time as well and be a balance from his working hours…..

Yeah, I’ve not been to Hong Kong since then either, will be interesting to see it again now.

Hahah, yeah, I won’t be crossing into Chinese territory. My OH will be though, I’m just going to eat, sightsee, eat more, and then probably eat even more.

…Tenerife sounds like a perfect Christmas to me……and for you, it must feel like another home as well so that’s pretty perfect…I have a friend who never did Christmas in the UK, she used to go to Grand Canaria every Christmas for a few weeks/she also loved that part of the world…and because they went there for so many years etc…they had a whole kind of community and friendship group out there with others who were all doing the same thing/a Grand Canaria Christmas reunion every year, that’s so special, isn’t it……

…yeah I do know what you mean about the darker work travelling…especially in village life when there isn’t such great street lighting…I’ve probably always walked more quickly in the autumn/winter times after clock changes…

Facts
Well I work in a place where it's far from the main city area ,and walking to the bustop is sort of isolated. So yeah It's all about being aware of my surroundings. There's plenty of traffic ,but not many people on actual foot . I got a fright the other day ..when a lady asked me for directions ,as she sneaked up behind at the bustop...as I was alone and didn't notice her walking down :eyes::skull: .
