…I just can’t see any correlation between Richard having written some mystery plots and having a sneaky mind…plots/characters etc …much of that skill is in research, I would say…and some/many/maybe most writers will in their own personality traits etc, be the exact opposite of their characters and plots…all of the time and every day/in every way/type thing, we can and do feel surprise in discovering what someone’s job is because it doesn’t reflect their character…one of my brothers used to be a barrister, he’s the most un-barrister of people outside of his work but was very barrister within it when he did it…Richard hasn’t in any way placed and invented ‘protagonists and antagonists’ and plots and twists …those are all self invented by the housemates or engineered by BB…hmmmmmm, maybe he’ll write a Caroline type character into one of his future works…or maybe he would think…nope, that character would be too ***ing boring…:fan:…

I’m sure at the very start he mentioned to them he’s a writer. I’m not 100% certain though.

When he (re)told the Six Word Story he said he was a writer. But I think it went over a lot of their heads, as they were focused on trying to work out it's sad that someone was trying to sell unworn baby shoes.

yes he has mentioned it, but they are so interested in their sex lives its evaded them, and its better just to say he is a teacher, because being writer would be too much for this lot

You have to think a certain way to write books like that... It takes a devious mindset to do so.

There is a reason he is keeping it on the downlow after all.. He is fully aware of the implications of it as a job and so is posing as just a music teacher. He next to never talks about his writing.

Everything about Richard is manufactured.

I believe that this is his manufactured fake persona... Humble quiet normal guy is his game.

But, we have seen it slip at points, but his supporters seem to slide right over those moments and ignore them.

I do think think he is playing well, but I also think his whole schtick is contrived and deeply manipulative.

Of course hes an intelligent man. But he's more of an observer. Just not a loud kind of guy.

No, caroline is too stupid to be that. Her game is too obvious and, frankly, stupid. It would have failed already if not for the saves she has had.

She plays her game right out in the open and everyone can see it. I don't like her, but she does not rely on manipulation of others at all. In fact, she is objectively terrible at that.

She does want to win by any means necessary, and she is playing hard. 100% agree.

But there is a difference in manipulating others and them naturally eventually seeing the same thing in a person as you do, which is what has happened with the dullards Sam and Nancy regarding Richard.

Others are simply starting to put the pieces together regarding him, and I think Farida talking about his popularity outside has helped that.

See, how I have always seen it, and it's why I hated winners like Aaron, is when a HM plays the public and not the house.

It's a difference most don't seem to recognise, but I do...

I love game players in the house, I agree it is 100% a game and should be played. but I prefer Carol (I don't like her though) over Rich because she is playing the game in the house, not relying on manipulating and being dishonest with the public.

Part of it is that I feel that HMs that rely on playing the public never show us who they really are and, for me, seeing the real person is at the core of BB.

…I must have a devious mind then because mysteries/crimes etc would probably be what I would chose as a book direction because I’m very much drawn in that direction when choosing a book or choosing a viewing in a movie/series…

If you think about it a whodunnit/ mystery is kind of a game in a book form... It's there to get you guessing and working it out, laying clues and misdirections as it goes along.

You def do have a devious mind to write that stuff.
