The main issue was a breakdown in communication with Emily, where he thought she was serious with the dictator/Supreme Leader/Kim Jung Tate comments whereas she was joking and trying to lighten the mood. I don't think he was nasty or horrible; it was simply two people on different tracks of thought.

And I did enjoy his breakdown of Caroline's every move in the hot tub.
