View Full Version : Does Caroline show early signs of Schizophrenia?

I'm being serious.
I've met schizophrenics before and they all seem to have one thing in common. There is a point or points of trauma that they usually refer back to during their psychotic episodes and at times it seems to be specific people that spark the episodes.
No matter what the topic Caroline cannot seem to stop mentioning Richard. It's honestly so weird. If he's as boring as she claims how does she have so much to say about him? Granted Will and AJ mentioned him too but not all the time!

No :skull: If anybody in there is closest to that then it's Elsa
She's literally trolling everyone and has openly admitted to wanting to wind people up for a bit of fun

There is a question mark over Elsa too, fair.
But Caroline is also an extreme. It's takes some type of instability to be committed to winding up 24/7.

No but she does drink a worrying amount of alcohol IMO. Not saying she's an alcoholic but a lot of the stuff in the house, she seemed drunk, like always drunk at night, and on live streams she'd come back with a ton of alcohol.

Come on now. It wound her up why he was so popular.. she’s not gonna be waiting with a machete when he walks out the house :joker:

Yes. Does she still take medication after her C treatment? Maybe the mix of the alcohol and the pills have an adverse effect

I honestly was concerned for his safety when she talked sometimes and tonight too.
We've all seen villains before and they seem to have a stop button...she didn't that's what's worrying. It seems like she has no control over when to stop

House is **** now without her, bloody worst BB line up ever!! Boring fkn final!!
I mean people usually develop schizophrenia in their late teens/early twenties, so these would have to be a reeeeally late early signs

I do think she is a bit unbalanced, she hates it when things don't go her way, and this is when she becomes nasty. then of course she will say it's a joke or it's a wind up, no your just being spiteful.

I think earlier on she saw some of the labels being put on her potentially by both the more liberal public and younger HMs. Remember how they reacted to her politics? They were ready to put her aside, as if she were dated, ignorant and more importantly—irrelevant. Pretty much the worst thing you can be labeled as in the entertainment business. Remember, she works in PR.
So I think that's working to her worst fear. She reinvented her character to work off of Richard and it was highly successful because 1) it kept her in the conversations of other housemates as they became more invested in what would happen next. 2) This is just one example, but note she kept bringing up his and Tate's Christianity at random. That was to put the pointer over their heads "Hey, they're the outsiders here, not little ol' me..."... In theory, it wouldn't heavily penalize her too much since being BB, the audience/voting public traditionally skews progressive, in theory? She obviously understands how image works and how those perceptions can be crafted and manipulated. She may not be able to predict the outcome, as she didn't have the full puzzle of what was portrayed, but she has the toolset to be create enough interest and that was something she could work with both inside the house and out in the public...
Everyone was interested in what she did and said, regardless of whatever you thought of her personally.

Women tend to have a later age of onset than men (sometimes as late as the 60s). But no. No, OP.

Ah yes, I see you're right. Usually late twenties/early thirties. My mistake.
Sorry everyone, I'm peddling misinformation. Go back to your worries over your mental stability.

Caroline's playing the Panto Villain.
That's what I believe anyway.

You seriously need to see BB10 again with how Lisa and Kris treated Freddie.
Or how nasty some of the Charley and Chanelle arguments could get in BB8.
Caroline is a soft Teddy Bear in comparison.

Agreed Craigie.
But we'll always have the fond memories of Caroline trying to resuscitate the dead caucus that was BB22.

No in my view.
I think she's just a nasty piece of work.
Nothing admirable whatsoever for me I'm afraid.
…hmmm, no …I’m not sure that I saw early signs or any signs of anything …other than, her frustration of the housemates that were so concealing their game plans because she obviously laid herself bare…she tried to shake, rattle and roll and ruffle those feathers to try to expose but I feel in such a short season as we have now, it does leave room for coasting…Caroline’s ideas of ‘fun’ aren’t everyone’s ideas of fun and yeah, she has to accept that…but in the context of the BB house,I think that she felt that it was less of that and more ‘hiding and coasting’ along and general lack of involvement …anyway, love her or not so much, she really has for me been the face of this season and she really has put herself out there …I would have loved to have seen her in the final because there is very little that she hasn’t put her whole self into…
…for me she’s been consistently Caroline /…no schizophrenic leanings etc…yeah she’s been very focused on Richard and that’s been her ‘downfall’ if you like…I think that’s because she’s frustratingly felt that he’s the biggest ‘fake person’ in the house…I don’t think he is but she’s just at a loss to understand him…not as a person as such but ehy such a person would go into BB/if that makes sense…?…
