Richard, bit boring but seems like a nice fella. Ali was painfully righteous

What a delightful image of Richard in the OP. Playful, mischievous, soothing, a twinkle in the eye, etc.

Absolutely. Dead-eyed, confrontational, condescending, self-righteous. God it tired me out, just looking at that picture.

I like Richard well enough, but Ali is obviously the far superior housemate

Ali v Tate would have been very similar to Ali v Marcelo, I imagine.

Marcus may have been more of a Khaled.

Ali, I loved her and Lily in that series. I like Richard but I do think Caroline got him most of his popularity

I much preferred Ali.
Richard is okay but Ali far better in my view.

No real comparison really for me anyhow.

I quite like Ali on L&L now but didn't like her at all as a housemate. Very nasty and manipulative

I don’t recall any of that …

Even so the house is a pressure cooker so people will all react differently ..

I can understand finding Marcello repugnant (even if I think the level of derision expressed was grossly disproportionate to his actual conduct in the house), but what's been particularly objectionable about Tate? Literally the only thing he's done that's bad imo is being a bit unduly short with Emily.

Richard with all due respect only had a fanbase thanks to Caroline.

Marcello was creepy

All those sexual comments towards the females and instigating play fighting/ wrestling with Lily or whoever … then it comes out that he works with young people …

Gruesome

Marcello's comments were literally vile and the way he spoke towards people was so rude. Tate definitely isn't in the same league, but calling Emily "jarring" whilst spending a decent amount of time with her and his general overall vibe has always given me "superior alpha calm good guy" energy. He's got a reserved arrogantness that makes him super unlikeable imo

He likes women?:omgno:

Somebody call the police!

And there's nothing wrong with Marcello and Lily both consenting to a fake Wrestling match, because by that logic Tate this series was being creepy when Wrestling with Elsa in that one episode in the Living Room.

They said they didn’t like the constant sexual comments - so that’s not acceptable

It was always Marcello instigating everything

Sarah, Emma, Baked Potato, Hanah, and Lily all liked him.

It feels like male housemates are damned if they do, damned if they don't lol. If they're yelling, they're being aggressive, and if they're quiet, they're projecting a superior alpha energy. :idc:

Marcus raising his voice to Elsa was equated to a domestic abuser by some people.

BB has a large section of it's audience that despises men, especially young men.

People will try and deny it, but it's 100% true.

You aren’t seriously comparing Marcello instigating physical contact with Lily to Teja and Elsa copying Marcus and Tate acting out a bit of WWE ?

Absolutely, it's not difficult to spot. :pipe: Not necessarily including caprimint in this when we say that though. In that case, I think it's mostly down to Tate slandering her favourite HM lol.

Oh I wasn't thinking of Caprimint when making my point.

She seems to be a more balanced member when it comes to the men and women on BB from what I've noticed.

No he wasn't being abusive, but it was not a very good side of Marcus and it made him come across horribly... I would see it as a red flag for a potential partner to be screamed at like a child by someone I haven't known that long, but my tolerance is really low for that kind of thing.

It's easily resolved though by not dating that person. Elsa is not a Disney Princess that needs saving. She can make a good choice if it becomes a problem for her... some people like the screaming yell-y thing.
