Soooo it appears that coverage of the series commences in the early hours of Friday morning

1.30am on TNT channel 1 ( presumably on their flagship UHD channel as well )

Bizarrely they appear to have settled on these three commentators !!

TNT Sports have confirmed their lead commentators will be Alastair Eykyn, best known as a key plank of TNT’s rugby coverage, and Rob Hatch, an award-winning cycling commentator plus Former England player Ebony Rainford-Brent will also do commentary stints alongside Eykyn and Hatch


So two non cricket based commentators plus ab ex woman player who I have never even heard of !?!


Surely they should be using experienced cricket commentators and well respected male ex Ashes cricketer to add the expertise
??

TNT's coverage is going to be crap, they're doing it on the cheap. Not even flying their commentators out there but they'll be watching the broadcast back in the UK

Excited for the start of this though. Will be setting an early alarm to catch most of the afternoon session

Why aren’t they throwing money at this and using some legendary ex players ?

We want familiar people commenting on the play- there must be 50 ex male players who fit the bill.. players who experienced the battle of the ashes first hand .. players we all saw playing fantastic cricket at the very highest level

Botham , Bumble , Atherton , Broad , Gough , Anderson , Harmison .. just for starters
