No. Taylor Swift is
No. Taylor Swift is
She co-writes though .. working with the best songwriters money can hire
She apparently writes approximately 30% of her songs and collaborates in 70%
The % are provided by her music publishers and are available to the public apparently

No she doesn’t. And she also has an extensive list of songs she’s wrote for other people.

She doesn’t co-write songs ?
Are you being serious

Taylor Swift co-writes most of her songs, but she also writes some on her own. She has been credited as a songwriter on every song in her discography except for a few covers and collaborations. She has worked with a variety of co-writers throughout her career, such as Liz Rose, Jack Antonoff, and Max Martin.
Co-writing: Swift frequently collaborates with other songwriters and producers. For example, she co-wrote many hits like "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space" with Max Martin and Shellback. She also worked with Jack Antonoff on numerous songs, and even co-wrote songs with her partner Joe Alwyn.

Many of her co-writers have said how she would come into the studio with basically an entire song already written and they would then work on it together to perfect it, or the co-writer would barely need to contribute. Her writing process has also been captured in one of her documentaries and other clips. Also in a legal document Max Martin has stated he had nothing to do with the lyrics of one of her songs even though he was credited as the co-writer, but back then even producers who had nothing to do with the lyrics used to be credited as songwriters.

Why so defensive ?
The majority of stars co write with loads of other songwriters these days
It’s not like the old days

Defensive? I was just correcting you.

The information is out there for all to see .. I even provided an example for you
You just provided a few cherry picked examples of hear- say to support your false claim

Apologies to Nicky for going off topic !

My point still stands. She will have the song already wrote and then it would be refined in the studio. Do some research on her songwriting methods.

She’s literally released the voice notes she uses when she writes a song, before it’s been produced in the studio

I dunno. Mariah Carey still exists
Same applies to our Maria ..
Mariah Carey has had many co-songwriters throughout her career, including prominent collaborators like Walter Afanasieff, Jermaine Dupri, and Diane Warren. While she is a songwriter herself, she frequently worked with others to develop songs, as she often came up with vocal melodies and themes that would then be developed with a musical partner.
Walter Afanasieff: A frequent collaborator on her first six albums, Afanasieff helped write many of her hits, including "One Sweet Day" and "My All," as well as "All I Want for Christmas Is You".
Jermaine Dupri: Their long-standing partnership began in 1995 and produced hits like "Always Be My Baby".
Diane Warren: Carey co-wrote several songs with Warren, such as "Can't Take That Away (Mariah's Theme)" and "After Tonight".
Other collaborators: Carey has also co-written with artists like Missy Elliott and producers such as Tricky Stewart, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis.

Taylor Swift has received her first Songwriters Hall of Fame nomination, the same year she first became eligible.
The Songwriters Hall of Fame spotlighted five songs from Taylor
Swift's remarkable résumé of excellence:
"All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" "Blank Space" "Anti-Hero" "Love Story" "The Last Great American Dynasty"
Ryan Tedder has not been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

That doesn’t mean she writes the songs herself though
It’s a relatively simple concept to get your head around - if you weren’t so stubborn
I have offered enough evidence in previous posts and didn’t have to resort to pure hear-say to support my argument

For the purpose of the thread topic I’d say Ryan Tedder wasn’t the best songwriter ever though.
Maybe it’s because it’s a woman doing well that you don’t like?

Well my preference to female singer songwriters over male singer songwriters appears to debunk your theory …
I regularly obsess over the music of Kacey Musgraves , Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa on this very forum .. but hey why let facts get in the way of your fanciful musings ..
