So over the last 3 weeks I have encountered the same thing on three separate occasions….

4 weeks ago I went to my car for my lunch break at work. Whilst my car was facing the building a massive 4x4 parked next to me…she drove into the space with her drivers door about 5 inches away from my drivers door. I wound my window down and said “how am I going to get out of my car?…she said I’m not going to be long. I then said “well how are you going to get out of yours without scratching my car?”…..stupid woman just reversed an went elsewhere.

Last week I returned to my car only to find I couldn’t open my door without it hitting the side mirror of the car next to me…I had to get in the passenger side to release the hand break to let my car roll forward so I could get in the drivers side….

Yesterday I was sitting in my car texting my son before going into the hair salon. Another large 4x4 parked opposite me leaving about 6 inches between her car and the drivers door to her left. She got out the car and even went around to check she had left enough space…I thought oh she’s going to move it now…but she didn’t…she started to head off to the shops :nono:….so as she passed my car I wound my window down and told her if that was my car next to hers I would not be happy….she said do you think it’s a bit close? ( she was about 70)… I said well if you don’t want your car scratched I would suggest moving it….so she did.

What’s wrong with people :fist:

Rant over.

Problem is now a lot of people have far too large cars for the spaces. Lot of our cars have been Americanised so everyone is driving huge things for no real reason

…yeah Rusti, sometimes it’s real head scratching moments to try to fathom how they got out of their car when you get back and see how closely they’ve parked by your side…and then there’s also the thing when there are around 4 cars parked in the car park with empty spaces as far as the eye can see…and a huge van comes and parks right around two inches away from you…as if your car has a magnet in it…cars are getting bigger and maybe spaces are getting smaller or people are becoming more insulated in thought for other drivers…

Many more cars , much bigger cars and no changes to the roads - what could go wrong
