The Festive Name thread has made me think a lot about TiBB members/festive names of the past…those who we’ve shared a forum Christmas with over the years but who aren’t here right now, for so many different reasons…specifically I’ve been thinking a lot of smudgie because her festive name has always been Nana Christmas, as she has always had such a huge love of this time of year/of every aspect of it, it’s just always felt like the perfect festive name for her…anyway, in a ‘santamental’ change of direction …

I thought of her yesterday it was the Christmas names that prompted that too, this time last year she was looking forward to Christmas and she was always so organised, or at least she organised Mr Smudgie :fan:, then she landed in hospital which as it turns out was probably her last Christmas :sad: She used to regularly forecast her death so she had alot of health issues and probably outlived alot of predictions as to her demise. I have been reading A Christmas Carol by Dickens this week and came across this lovely description of Christmas to kick off my entry:

It's Christmas eve! I haven't been well this week , so i still have the shopping and Christmas tree to do later :bawling::fist::laugh:
This year I'll be spending Christmas on my own, a chance to relax and get over this flu.
I don't know why, I always get sick round this time of the year.
So I don't usually plan anything :joker:

My sister is a carer, so she'll probably be working during the holidays.

Happy Christmas Day. It's after 2am but this is not my actual Calendar entry yet. It's from a thread I posted a short while back which I don't think many people saw and its about my Tibb Bestie Ness and what she means to me. She deserves many accolades and praise. So I've reposted it in here before I do my actual Advent Door. Please read....:love:

I've known her a very long time now and am soooo happy we started meeting up for overnight jaunts. The first time I saw her I thought omg how cute! And I love her Italian accent. She's such a gem.

I feel like we were destined to know each other, she's like the missing piece of my jigsaw. I've never had a friend like her, she's truly one of a kind. Not just a Tibb Bestie but overall in my life. She'd do absolutely anything for anyone if they treat her as she deserves to be treated. An extremely caring lady. She's greatly enthusiastic about cats, music, dancing, reality TV and travelling to name just a few things.

Friends have come and gone in my life, I only have 2 now, Viv and Ness cos trust has been broken so many times over the years. But there's others on Tibb I have so much time for as well, Cherie Livia Ammi Jake and plenty others. Won't name check everyone cos I'd be bound to miss someone out.

Back to Ness....she'll probably get teary eyed when she reads this, she's an emotional person, just like me. Would not swap her for the world. I have found a brilliant song that suits our friendship to a T, I'll add it to this post in a minute..

My Advent Entry Part 1.

Sooooo it's Christmas Day! The 25th of December 2025. I turned 56 this year and it's been quite a good one, looking forward to the day ahead. Let's get started as I invite you all to Step In with me.....

So today I'm cooking and washing up as a treat for Karl and Joan who can chill out and watch TV! We've already done presents as it was things we all knew we were getting. I got given new boots, perfume, money and a range of make up. So today is all about chilling. Cooking isn't a chore, I love it so it's a pleasure.

It's after 3am. I'm sat quietly reflecting on Tibb matters, the memories I have and share with people here, some have come and gone, some pop in on occasion amd then there's the rest of you who are still merrily posting away and I have so much love in my heart for all.

Our Tibb community is wonderful, it's good aspects far outweigh any negatives. Brings me joy in my heart, and plenty of laughter. Sometimes it's therapeutic even.

Quickly want to mention that James and staff keep it all ticking over, so much love for that too.
