This year for the first time ever we went out for Christmas Dinner...just the two of us. To be fair I was not feeling very well. However, it never seems to taste the same it was nice but compared to my own it was a bit bland and not very flavoursome. To be fair I sometimes feel the same when we go out for a traditional Sunday Dinner.
Anyone else share this experience??...or is it just me

Been out twice for Christmas Day dinner, once in New York but that was not a traditional roast so it was fine and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant it was packed with locals, second time was the year after we went out to Witham, not a great experience, the food like you say was not as good as home cooked, we were sat next to a very large table of 20 plus and they were super noisy and not very conscious that other people were trying to talk, eat and listen to the festive music and worst of all there were no left overs at home, so we said never again in England at any rate
