I'm not going to be too proscriptive about it but I do want to use the quieter months at the start of the year to be a bit healthier in general - less drinking, healthier eating, more exercise etc. I've generally been quite healthy this year anyway so I'm not too worried about it but I was knocked off track a bit at the end of this year by dislocating my shoulder which stopped me exercising for a while and made me a bit too comfortable doing nothing and eating and drinking a lot - and then it was Christmas so I had another excuse to continue that.

I also want to be a bit more savvy with my finances which is another boring one so I'll see how that goes

Open to ideas for any creative resolutions from TiBBers. Especially things that are easy to stick with and don't cause me too much hassle

If you dont have an account that offer a jam jar feature open a Monza you can save into different pots sounds a bit simple but it does work

Monzo also has the 1p challenge now. They’ll save it for you everyday.

My resolution is to take even less **** from people this year. Completely dissociate from negative nancys/nigels. So might be good for you lot on here!

We’re continuing to move forward with our move to Australia this year. Have a few holidays and weddings next year. Save save save.

Thank you, will give that a read! I do have a Starling account which is similar to Monzo I think but never use it apart from when I'm abroad. The simpler ways are probably the best of just actually keeping track of spending and separating expenses out. Like I only just realised today that my broadband offer ran out four months ago and I've been paying £60 for a package that was just over £20 for 18 months :o what a waste of money

Thank you, it was bloody painful! Never known anything like it. It was actually four months ago now but I have still some stiffness and some slight limited mobility but it is almost back to full fitness

Not a resolution as such, as I won’t be starting bang on start of the year, but I want to get back into shape before the mid 40’s spread hits and becomes impossible to shift.

I’m also going to get back into my writing. I’d love to try get something published in the next year or two.

No resolutions for me. I'm like already like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way.

i believe you should try and be your best self every day. If you start each new day with that attitude, you really can't go wrong

Aside from getting out a bit more, nah. If I make a point of making resolutions they usually don’t last so I’m just going into the new year without any major “changes”.

Main one would be to just be happy, had a Rocky few years with 2025 being the worst. As long as I’m content and happy and healthy going forward, I’m good.

Happy New Year everyone. Xx

Going on a diet and losing a few stone. I did it a bit this year in September and lose a wtone and a bit but now that it’s the new year I need to stick by it and hopefully be more healthy

……your writing is excellent and I know that you’ll achieve that if that’s a resolve you make and you have…

…I think that’s a great mindset, resolutions can create so many expectations and hopes etc, so that we can miss a lot of great stuff that comes our way…don’t look to find those ‘changes’ let them find you and you decide any impact on your life/year they can have….looking forward to seeing so much more of your wonderful creative talent this year also…..

I swear this is true

I turned on Talksport this morning at the back of 9 and Jamie O'Hara said "and let us know of any resolutions you've made," and it cut to a break

Literally the first words i heard

I tend not to do resolutions, more a tick list of goals - these could be resolution type stuff like save X amount, or might be stuff that isn't a 'chore' but something I was to do by the end of the year such as visit a certain place, redecorate a certain room, see X amount of live music, visit a c certain museum - that kind of thing. I've done it this way for the last three or four years and it's a nice way to do it - doesn't feel pressure as it's largely nice things mixed with stuff that's more responsible.

I've already run more miles in January than the whole of December so so far so good :hee: bought some jazzy new running shoes this morning to help keep up the momentum
