It's a race...


First to ten...

New words that get used in a positive way and new words that get used in a negative way.

Like flex...generally that's used negatively to ridicule someone's statement or actions.


I'm backing more negative new words to win..Cause I can't think if any new positive ones. Apart from banging, as in "That's banging" but i would argue that's not new and more like 90s when new words were more used positively.

Some positives I can think of that my youngest niece and nephew use are ‘Rizz’ and ‘Brat’.

Others I know of are 6 7 and Skibidi.

The one I see all the time when I'm scrolling through Twitter (bad habit), and I hate is 'slop' - mainly people complaining about AI - 'AI slop'. Also sometimes 'Boomer Slop' even when the person is Generation X.

We did it when I was considered a young person. In twenty years young people will still be doing it and thinking they're unique. We hear more about it now because of t'internet but young people have always done it. It's like, far out, daddio.
