Are Royal Mail Basically Useless Now Or Just Me?

Ordered about 10 things sent via RM on ebay since October, 3 of the parcels were lost (still are as far as i know). Letters take at least a week now, and that's if you're lucky, usually 2 weeks. And today they posted a letter that's for an address 3 streets over, and a letter from South East Water dated 12th December.

Just wondered what the RM service is like in different parts of the country? Used to be alright here, but the last 2/3 years it's gone to complete sh!t.

Royal Mail is dreadful. My friend in Australia called over Christmas to thank me for a gift I'd sent. He said, bloody hell, the cost of postage in the UK! And he was right... it's robbery. Costs a fortune to send a letter or card first class but there's no guarantee of next day delivery. It's crumbled in the face of competition when they had all the experience and the goodwill. It's obviously run by morons.

i have received 1 letter since christmas, i have, however, had 3 deliveries of junk mail. So, royal mail basically deliver spam through my letter box :fist:

Two Christmas cards I sent to Ireland at the grand total of 6.80 to post on 10th December reached the recipients on 6th Jan, never again.

Was due to have a package delivered today, Tilly will hear a pin drop plus we have a door bell, but got a message to say they tried to deliver and would retry tomorrow...I will be having words when they eventually turn up
