View Full Version : How many of these weird food-combinations do you love?

Some (like dipping chips in a McFlurry) aren’t so weird. Others (like anything involving pickles) … well, yuck. Anyway, here are the options:

1. Popcorn + ketchup
2. Salted crisps + chocolate
3. Chips and chocolate-Frosty (something Tracey-Ullman Homer Simpson would likely come up with and wolf down with proto-doughnuts)
4. Chips (more-so French fries, ironically the less weird of the chip-varieties for this purpose) + ice cream
5. Bacon + maple-syrup
6. A slice of cheese and some jam on either crackers or bread
7. Cereal with added orange-juice instead o. milk
8. Ice cream + soy sauce
9. Watermelon + feta-cheese
10. Pickles on pizza
11. Bacon + chocolate
12. Noodles (Indomie, KOKA, Pot, ramen, whatever) with peanut-butter
13. Pancakes + hot-sauce. The hot-sauce could be Frank’s or it could be a home-made concoction of yellow Nsukka-peppers, scotch-bonnets and Carolina-Reaper. Don’t get hung up on what type of hot sauce. It could even be sweet-chilli.
14. Coffee made with coconut-water (not coconut-milk, obviously, because … well, because, that wouldn’t be weird, would it?)
15. Ice-cream inside soda.
16. Chicken-nuggets + honey
17. Coke with chocolate-milk

It’s all based on a post I saw. I don’t think I’ve actually done any myself beyond French fries in ice cream.

Bacon and maple syrup isn’t weird. Neither is ice cream in soda (coke float) or cheese and jam (it’s no different from chutneys).

Below are the ones I have tried, I enjoyed all of them. I would say the only weird combo is probably the salted crisps and chocolate. Watermelon and feta salad is one of my favourites, with cucumber and mint added. Yum!

Salted crisps + chocolate
Bacon + maple-syrup
Watermelon + feta-cheese
Noodles with peanut-butter
Ice-cream inside soda

Watermelon and feta cheese is amazing
I don't like toppings on pizza but pickles would be fine I guess
I'd be here for pancakes/anything with hot sauce too tbh lol

Bacon and syrup is the only one I've tried from American breakfasts. There's a time and a place for it but generally not a fan

Aside from salted crisps and chocolate (not bad as a pairing), I've not tried any of those.

I haven't tried any of them tbh.

Some of them sound nice though.
