AI isn't replacing jobs in any amount close to what was being predicted. You only need to look at microsofts copilot to understand business just doesnt want it

AI is great for maths, coding tasks and medical research, but give it a task to do that doesn't have volumes of reference data on the internet and it's very weak.

This may change over time, but not before there is a complete consolidation in the AI world which will happen this year or next

Amazon employs around 1.6 MILLION people so 16,000 is 1% cuts by my reckoning .
