Some things don’t age well, some just are not accepted in this day and age, like below. Although he is playing a character in an era when that would have been what was said.

I was just thinking how The Inbetweeners wouldn't get away with it these days.

Where did it all go wrong?

The entire existence of Nikita and Dark Angel because Femme Fatales are "sexist” and "problematic” according to a few weirdos in the media that love Bear sex in Baldur's Gate 3.

And probably the "I'm rooting for the slave” dialogue in Angel.

…hasn’t Holly Valance just used that same terminology on live TV and refused to apologise because free speech, mate…so I think that a reset may be happening…

On YouTube they're always using that word ,which again just shows how the censorship on social media is a contradiction. Youtubers / content creators themselves are worried to get flagged or demonitised if they use words like " rape" ," porn" & " paedophile" . The replacements for these are " grape", "corn" & " PDF" .

I'm picturing ITV having to deal with someone like John James.

They'd have to go into their safe space.

Lookup the Celebrate Our Differences video on YouTube. Was a parody from a comedy show in 2005 but still...

You'll love Tell me Lies then, that one isn't PC at all

Quite a lot of sex scenes in that, or HBOing as we here call that

I don't know about that because Hollywood does like to do sex scenes nowadays that tries to gross me out personally, and I think a good 70% of the male audience just to be brutally honest.

Tbf though I haven't watched Tell Me Lies, so maybe I am wrong in putting that in the same box as things like Sinners and Dispatch.

’80s Walford was extremely grimy in a very raw, visceral way.
