[Police say they are searching two properties
linked to Peter Mandelson over Epstein investigation]

[Mandelson was accused of passing
sensitive government information to
US financier and convicted sex offender
Jeffrey Epstein while a minister in
Gordon Brown's government.

The allegations followed the publication
of millions of files related to Epstein last Friday.]

you know what stinks about this, is that on paper Mandy should have been an allie for young girls but I guess self interest was more his thing

I was genuinely surprised when Peter Mandelsohn was brought back, and the way it all ended was actually pretty poignant. For someone who always seemed to land on his feet no matter what, that final chapter felt like the curtain finally coming down. Good riddance to bad rubbish, honestly — that whole era should’ve stayed in the past.

A pay-off given to Lord Mandelson after he was sacked as ambassador to the US is being reviewed, UK Foreign Office sources have told the BBC.

The review was instigated after fresh details emerged about the peer's contact with Jeffrey Epstein and a separate police investigation was initiated in the UK, they said.

Police searched two homes linked to Lord Mandelson on Friday after the latest release of files relating to Epstein indicated email exchanges about fiscal policy. Lord Mandelson has not been arrested.

The Labour peer is thought to have been given a pay-off of up to £55,000 after he was sacked as the UK's ambassador to the US in September over his links with the late convicted sex offender.

Government sources confirmed that the Foreign Office reached a financial settlement with Lord Mandelson, but have not said how much this was for.

However, he is believed to have been given an exit payment equivalent to three months' salary, or up to £55,000, the Times reports, external.

They should arrest them both , keep them in custody until all enquiries are complete

They are both scumbags of the highest order and it makes my blood boil to see them both as free as a bird with Mendelson even securing a lucrative severance pay deal despite breaking the law when in office

All the crap that was levelled at Boris yet Starmer our supposed saviour has been a complete and utter disaster plus he’s distinctly unlikeable / dislikable

And let's not forget, while Boris was being dragged over the coals by the whole Left and the traitors in his own party for attending a birthday party in a garden, Starmer attended a curry and beer party in a pub. Got away with that, didn't he... It's hard to feel sorry for the smug double-dealer now.

It was shameful. I mean, I'm not pretending Boris was a saint who did everything right. But when you look at who had it in for him, the Left, the Left wing press, traitors in his own party with their own ambitions... And they were all LOUD. And those who came after were pretty appalling. Liz Truss, I know her, she was a self-serving and ineffectual MP who should never have been PM. Theresa May, tried her best but I feel was in over her head, insulted by the European Union, unsupported by her own party and left pretty much to flounder. Then there's Sunak who only had eyes on his own ambition and failed miserably as a leader. Which led to the clown parade that is Starmer, Rayner, Reeves and Lammy. I'd like to say to those who wanted Boris out so badly, be careful what you wish for.

He was fined for one but attended 6

1. 15 May 2020 – Garden drinks in the Downing Street garden.
2. 20 May 2020 – “Bring your own booze” garden party.
3. 19 June 2020 – Boris Johnson’s birthday gathering in the Cabinet Room. (The one he was fined for)

4. 13 November 2020 – Gathering in the Downing Street flat.
5. 27 November 2020 – Leaving party for adviser Cleo Watson.
6. 10 December 2020 – Department for Education Christmas gathering.
7. 17 December 2020 – Leaving party for Kate Josephs (Cabinet Office).
8. 18 December 2020 – Downing Street Christmas party.
9. 14 January 2021 – Leaving gathering for two No.10 staff members.
10. 16 April 2021 – Two separate leaving parties in Downing Street (the night before Prince Philip’s funeral).

A lot of these "parties" happened in No.10, where he lived and some took place outdoors. They involved people he worked with in No. 10 and would probably have been socially distanced. But hey, let's not let the facts blur the vendetta, eh?

Glenn.
14-03-2026, 04:30 PM
Police didn’t investigate one garden chat. They investigated 12 separate gatherings in Downing Street and Whitehall. The investigation issued 126 fines to 83 people, including Boris Johnson himself. Some events were birthday drinks, Christmas parties and leaving parties with alcohol. So it clearly wasn’t just one socially-distanced work meeting in a garden.

But hey, let’s not let the facts blur the vendetta, eh?
