BBC News Text :
[The government's new guidance on
gender for all English schools.
"Pupils able to change their gender
at school," it writes.
The guidance says parents should
be involved in the "vast majority"
of cases where a child questions
their gender and schools should
not initiate steps towards social transitioning.]

Only Siamese twins should be referred to as they or them.

No one can change their sex, its impossible, no child is trans. There are gullible and poor parents and they should never be indulged.

And they wonder why teachers are leaving the profession ....

How many children are actually going to be changing pronouns tbf?

I get that the door shouldn't really be opened to kids as young as 4 years old, but I feel like we've got bigger issues at School than Little Jimmy wants to be referred to as a Spivak.

Don't get me wrong it's not ideal, but we've got kids physically harming each other at School, bullying, and the education be so poor that it makes my Primary School look like Oxford University in comparison.

We as a society need to prioritise which issues need to be fixed first.

A trans child is the same as a vegan cat.

We all know somebody else is making the decisions for them.

Right. If someone's going to decide something as big as that, they should at least be old enough to buy a lottery ticket.

“Let them be old enough so we can still be transphobic.”

You'll feel very differently when you have your own children, I think. We are their only advocate at that age. The other stuff has to matter also and is something all parents deal with at some point, ex: their kids being bullied or them being a bully and having to put foot down. Anyway, this is all why homeschooling is exploding in popularity. I personally have no faith in school systems seeing as they have been experimenting this whole time on failed systems and now having to revert back to pen and paper (removing technology). There are too many interests involved now and almost none care about the kids but just pushing their own focal points.

Tbf to technology, a lot of the issues surrounding today's kids is bad parenting.

It's so bad some of the parents just make the Teachers and Politicians do all of the parenting for them.
