There are 5 categories in which the threat levels could be set:
1. LOW - an attack is highly unlikely
2. MODERATE - an attack is possible, but not likely
3. SUBSTANTIAL - an attack is likely
4. SEVERE - an attack is highly likely
5. CRITICAL - an attack is highly likely in the near future

This world is tiring. And almost certainly not our eternal home. Alas, I guess.
My mind always goes back to 2017 and the Ariana-Grande (I think anyway) concert in Manchester. Things only seemed to get worse from there, at-least in the U.K., and no matter how safe you try and keep yourself, there can still be that lingering fear. About who it’s going to happen to next if not you. All you can do, at-best, is pray that you’re okay and all alright, as much as you can be in a world like this.

I 100% agree Redway.

I 100% agree Redway.
I know some people even get panic-attacks thinking about stuff like this. The fear of the world being so precarious.

Hopefully it's just a bit of scaremongering from Starmer.

If the public was aware of how many terror attacks are thwarted by our security services every year, they'd never leave the house.

Yes
Thank you to our Security Services
I do not like the next level:
SEVERE - an attack is highly likely
This is one area where AI is a real benefit. We are safer from terrorists because of AI

They only seem to tell us when it's a "far right" one.

No this is a Important Public annoucement
Can change if we go up a level.
Yes, it may be related - but needs to be a single thread

Too true.
So the UK establishment is not standing with it's biggest ally. But they'll go all in to stand with Ukraine?
Makes zero sense.

The Ministry of Defence said the UK will urgently provide new air defence missiles and systems worth over £500 million to help protect Ukraine
£150 million to the NATO Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative, described as a mechanism to enable rapid delivery of air defence interceptors, with NATO coordinating purchases from the United States for Ukraine’s defence.
1,000 Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMMs), manufactured in Belfast, intended to support the defence of infrastructure and cities against drone and missile attacks.
A £390 million deal described by the MoD as building on UK-Ukraine industrial collaboration, including transferring production and support of Rapid Ranger launchers and command and control vehicles to Ukraine.
Additional deliveries over the coming months of 1,200 air defence missiles and 200,000 rounds of artillery ammunition through the Air Defence Consortium (ADC).
