An alarming new survey of universities has found 20% of students would not be
open to sharing a house with someone who is Jewish. The shocking findings
have been published today by the Union of Jewish Students as part of their
Time for Change report.

In a worrying sign, antisemitism is becoming normalised on campus. The
survey found that one in five students (20%) would not be open to house
sharing with a Jewish student. Inside the report, chilling images show graffiti
declaring "IDF off campus", IDF is a reference to Israel's Defence Force, and
"Free Palestine" being daubed on Hillel House, a Jewish student centre near the
University of Leeds.

In a further sign of twisted views burgeoning across higher education in
Britain, the study found nearly half of students (49%) have seen examples of
terror groups Hamas and Hezbollah being "glorified on campus".

Would you share a house with someone black? Even to pose the
question, let alone to say no, is to invite – quite rightly – the accusation of
racism. But it’s a different matter when it comes to Jews. The Union of Jewish
Students (UJS) has today published a report on campus anti-Semitism in
Britiain. Of all the statistics that show the sheer scale of the hate that Jewish
students face, the most chilling is that one in five students (20 per cent) say
they wouldn’t share a house with a Jew.

Campus anti-Semitism has been a problem for decades. It was a perennial
when I was editor of the Jewish Chronicle, between 2008 and 2021. But it has
transformed in recent years from a worrying issue that
needed to be dealt with
to a critical problem that is out of control.

The younger generations just hide their prejudices a bit better.

Admittedly you're not wrong here.

For some reason the Anti-Semitic crowd have never been good at hiding their hatred, even from back when I was in Primary School I knew that there were a lot of people that didn't like Jewish people, let's just put it that way.
