We were having a discussion at lunchtime today about how much more natural the BBAfrica housemates are than our own. They are not afraid to have an opinion, to disagree with others, to speak loudly, to have fun.
:thumbs::thumbs:
What a contrast to our lot who are afraid to open their mouths in case it affects their chances of winning.
As Gae said he thought they would have more life. All I can say is that the lot of them need to get a life.
The only one who is actually acting normally (or so I think) is Ray - he is being himself and being told off for it. All the others keep telling him to behave and play the game.
I only wish we had the Africa house on stream here. Much more interesting to watch.
Anyone agree.

I totally agree that BB Africa is a lot more interesting at the moment it's a bit of a worry as I find myself getting into it and i know i'm going to want to know what happens to the housemates, at least they have a website with all the news on:xyxwave:
I think BB didn't pick the best mix of personalities this year. There are a lot of similarities between the housemates that are left and they are way too wary of the cameras this year - didn't they know what it was all about!!!!!!
I do like Cameron and Ray though.

The African housemates are so much more natural and opinionated that our lot.
It's probably got a lot to do though with the fact that it is the first BB Africa and the housemates are quite naive about what to expect like the BB1 and 2 housemates were in the UK.
The reason that the BB4 housemates are so reserved is that they've noticed how anyone who is controversial, loud or emotional, like, say, Penny, Narinder or Adele, gets voted out at the earliest opportunity, and often they are disliked by the public in the outside world.
You can't really blame the contestants for that. I'd say that fans who hold extreme views about HMs are as much to blame as anything else.
The BB4 housemates have all decided to keep their heads down for 9 weeks and hope that gets them to the final week. If they do they'll probably think that they've come out of the experience well even if the viewers don't think their entertaining.
The format needs to be shaken up for the next series somehow.

I have to say that I am enjoying watching the African one. There again I don't feel embarassed or annoyed by their behaviour, because it's not 'ours'.
I know it's daft, but it seems to affect me like that.
cameron seems to have been giving them some sterling entertainment with his sword dance/fling last nught! I bet he will miss them, and they him.
It was a great experience for him.

But surely those that are loudest and more controvesial, will stand to make more money from the media and have a better chance of a job in TV even if they get evicted early? Personally I'd rather read or see more of Anouska, than most of the contestants from this series.

I noticed the UK BB is being broadcast on satellite 24hrs in Africa alongside the Africa BB. Shame they haven't done that here.
Maybe they want to show how much more fun the Afriuca house is!
I guess that answers my first question!
