“She’s a pedigree, and she cost me a lot of money.” Ziggy, who has made a number of threats to quit, has begged producers to let him spend time with his dog, pleading: “Please, just let me have five minutes with her.”

After the lad made another threat to leave on Saturday, producers came up with the plot to include Molly.

A show insider said: “He needs cheering up at the moment. Letting him have an hour with Molly was the perfect tonic.

“But we’re not sure Chanelle was happy because she didn’t get a look-in.

“To say she looked hang-dog would be an understatement.”
