View Full Version : Gerry: Does Gerry mean to talk down?
A few housemates mentioned during nominations that they think Gerry constantly talks down on them as if he's better, do you think this is delibrate i.e he knows what he's doing or does it just come across that way?

Yeah Brian and Charley both mentioned that and I think at times he does come across as he knows best but I don't think he does it on purpose that it just him.

I've noticed Gerry relies heavily on conversation. At times when he's feeling down or not relating to HM's he tries talking to the cameras or talking to himself almost like he knows no other way to spend his time. It can't be easy for him, being a keen conversationalist, being stuck in a house where most of the subject matter is considerably shallow (e.g Brian talking about cider and trainers or the twins talking about how much they love pink). It's not hard to see Gerry's only real company provided by Big Brother (with longevity) were Chanelle and possibly Zach, both of which are far to consumed in their relationship to bother having a good chat about Virgil's 'The Aeneid' or the origins of plate smashing (certainly dates further back than Ahmania). Gerry's been dumped in a conversation desert, so his understandable frustration could explain the way he seems to talk down to people, people who arnt meeting his standards, but I think he's noticed it and is attempting to lighten up a bit. He certainly needs to.
To be fair, he did a good job as the talent show producer, tonight, getting people motivated.
