I don't understand what people mean by fake anyway? Everyone is going to act differently in such an artificial environment, than when alone or with friends.

People even act differently when walking down the street, than when they are on their own but this isn't fake, this is just their response to society.

Some housemates don't handle the cameras as well as others or are more insecure about how people perceive them on the outside and need more acceptance so they play nice or play dumb. It's not fake, it's just a coping mechanism.
