Good evening everyone, and welcome to another edition of thisisbigbrother.com’s ‘Who Wants to BB a Millionaire’. :cat:

This week Kaphc takes the chair again. You may remember that she was meant to be the contestant a few weeks ago but had computer problems and BigSister stepped in and took over at the last minute. Well Kaphc is back online and is here ready and waiting this time.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing her lots of luck for this evening. :spin2:

As usual here is a reminder of the BB Millionaire rules.

The Quizmaster will ask each question and will then wait for the contestant to post the answer. We would appreciate it if nobody other than the contestant posts onto the thread unless they have been asked to be an ‘Ask a Friend’. Any random posts will be immediately deleted.

Each Contestant has three lifelines:

1 ‘Ask a Friend’, where you can choose one person currently online to help you. Once they have been nominated the ‘friend’ should post what he or she thinks is the answer. Admin cannot be nominated as ‘Friends’.

2. ‘50:50’, where 2 wrong answers will be removed.

3. ‘Ask for a Clue’, where, as you cannot ask the audience, you can ask us for a clue.

We cannot tell what you are doing, but we ask you to behave fairly and not look all the answers up in the book or to cheat in any other way.

As usual, I’ll give you a couple of minutes to read this and then we’ll start.

:flower:

Ok, I'm here and ready to go. My cmputer has promised to be on its best behaviour. I'd just like to say that I have prepared for this evening by eating rice and drinking red wine, about as close to life in the BB house as I could get! :spin2::spin2:

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:05 PM
Ok, here we go.

As usual we have a few easy questions to get us started.

Question One for 100 points
What is Helen’s Surname?

A Adams
B Adamson
C Alanson
D Alans

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:06 PM
Phew! One I know!! It's A - Adams

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:08 PM
See I told you you'd be fine. :spin2:

That was the correct answer.

Question Two for 200 points
What is the name of Narinder's Husband?

A Hajinder
B Datinjer
C Patinder
D Jatinder

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:08 PM
The answer is D - Jatinder.

Big sigh!!

Sip of water!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:10 PM
The red wine seem to be working so far Kaphc cos that is the correct answer.

Question Three for 300 points
Which housemate has got married since the end of BB2?

A Penny
B Dean
C Elizabeth
D Narinder

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:11 PM
Well as an avid reader of heat magazine, I did see the photos, the answer is B - Dean.

Big sip of wine!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:13 PM
Yes Kaphc it was Dean, who married the lovely Vanessa. :spin:

So far so good. :spin2:

Question Four for 500 points
Who was the third person to be evicted from the Big Brother 2 House?

A Penny
B Amma
C Narinder
D Stuart

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:15 PM
Right, I've got to count this.

First was Penny, second was Stuart, third was Narinder, fourth was Bubble.

So the answer is C - Narinder.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:18 PM
That logic looks sensible and well worked out, but are you 100% sure cos you are still at the phase where you could leave us with nothing.

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:20 PM
Oooh! I shall just go over it again ...

Penny vs Helen - Penny went
Stuart vs Paul - Paul went
Naz vs Paul - Naz wen
Bubble vs Paul - Bubble went

Yep, I'm going to stay with the same answer !!:conf:

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:22 PM
And it's a good job you did :spin2: because it's the correct answer.

Right this is the last question where you could leave us with nothing. You still have all your lifelines intact but remember they are there if you need them.

Question Five for 1,000 points
Which housemate was also sometimes known as Hilda?

A Elizabeth
B Brian
C Helen
D Penny

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:23 PM
I've been revising nicknames all day, so it must be C - Helen.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:25 PM
You'll be relieved to know that one of Helen's nicknames was indeed Hilda, so you will not become the first person to leave us with no points at all. Well done.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:26 PM
You're right, I am sooooo relieved.

I s'pose it gets worse from here on in now :bawling:

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:26 PM
OK, Kaphc, the questons will now gradually start to get harder.

Question Six for 2,000 points
Which two housemates pretended to be hypnotised by Elizabeth?

A Josh and Bubble.
B Bubble and Dean
C Dean and Josh
D Bubble and Amma

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:28 PM
Oh no, I read about this in the afternoon as well.

I know the joke was played on Brian, Helen and Paul ...

And I think Dean and Amma were in on the joke ....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:29 PM
So that would leave Bubble and Josh as the people who were hypnotised.

I was on holiday when this was shown so I'm not sure, let me think ...!!

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:30 PM
Yeah, I'm gonna cross my fingers and go for Bubble and Josh - answer A.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:31 PM
Take your time Kaphc. Remember you have your lifelines if you need them.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:32 PM
So that is your final answer?

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:33 PM
Seems a bit early to be using lifelines. I am sure it wasn't Paul, Brian or Helen.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't Amma.

Yeah, it was Bubble who pretended to be really nice to Brian and Josh who was afraid of everything.

Definitely!! I'm sticking with answer A.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:35 PM
That is the correct answer Kaphc.

It was Bubble and Josh. :elephant:

Here's the next question.

Question Seven for 4,000 points
What colour was Amma’s eviction outfit?

A Blue
B White
C Beige
D Black

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:36 PM
It was white so the answer is B.

She looked stunning!

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:38 PM
Yes she did didn't she.

That's the correct answer.

Now the points start going up a bit more steeply.

Question Eight for 8,000 points
Which housemate went into the Diary Room to collect Paddy for the first time?

A Amma
B Brian
C Josh
D Elizabeth

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:40 PM
I am sooooo riding my luck now but I think it was Jos. Thinking ....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:42 PM
Yeah I'm going to go with Josh because I seem to remember something about him missing his dog. Final answer.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:46 PM
Yes it was Josh. he was really missing his dog Bailey. I remember him telling me how funny Bailey when Josh was evicted how he was really sulking for ages cos he didn't know where Josh had been.

You are now on 8000 points with all your lifelines left. :spin2:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:46 PM
Talk to me LEE :flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:47 PM
Oh you just did!!

Phew, I was on tenterhooks.

I keep having to remember to go to page 2 of the thread now.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:48 PM
I'm still here kaphc, don't worry.

Question Nine for 16,000 points
What birthday gift did Narinder leave for Elizabeth?

A Pink Shawl
B Silk Shirt
C White Embroidered Handkerchief
D Decorated Picture Frame

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:49 PM
I read this today as well.

It was A - Pink Shawl.

Hand on a sec, can;t see the whole thread now, so just going to double-check.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:51 PM
Yeah, I'm going with Pink Shawl.

Someone get me a valium!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:52 PM
Valium and Red Wine - could have interesting results.

So a Pink Shawl is your final answer?

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:54 PM
If I don't answer from now on, you'll know why then.

This is such a rollercoaster, it's amazingly scary and exciting.

Yes, pink shawl is my final answer. I know Naz had been evicted by then, so I think she got Brian to give it to Elizabeth.

LEE
23-03-2002, 06:57 PM
That is correct. Well done.

Ok, this is for your next milestone of 32,000 points. If you get this one wrong you would drop back 15,000 points to 1,000. Remember though you still have all your lifelines left.

Question Ten for 32,000 points
Which housemate said they had always wanted to own a bright orange Harley Davidson Motorcycle?

A Amma
B Elizabeth
C Narinder
D Helen

kaphc
23-03-2002, 06:58 PM
Oh My God!! I have no idea.

Can I go 50:50 please.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:05 PM
Sorry I have taken a while to answer that Kaphc, my computer decided to go on a go-slow.

Here the correct answer and one remaining wrong answer.

B Elizabeth
C Narinder

Good luck.

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:06 PM
That's OK, no problem.

I was hoping it was going to be Elizabeth and Helen!!

I have a feeling it could be Elizabeth becuase I was reading something about her being a superhero in an orange outfit with purple hair.

Then again, it could be Narinder quite feasibly.

I'm sooo not sure what to do...!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:08 PM
Another sip of Red Wine sounds like a good plan to me. Or maybe not.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:09 PM
Can I have a clue please?

I think it would be better to go with a lifeline on this one, as it's such a milestone.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:10 PM
Just to let you know I cose the answer to put up by picking a scrap of paper off my desk. Completely random.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:10 PM
The red wine has run out now by the way!!

Trying to persuade my OH to get me more alcohol.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:15 PM
Again, sorry my machine seems to be running on a go slow at the mo.

here is your clue.

'A different sort of horsepower for this lady.'

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:17 PM
Thanx Lee, that has helped me some I must admit.

I'm definitely going to go for Black Beauty herself, Elizabeth.

Final answer.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:19 PM
:hello::dance::hello::dance::hello:

Well done Kaphc. Whatever happens after this point you definitely go away from us tonight with 32,000 points.

Well done.

:colour::colour::colour::colour::colour::colour::c olour:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:19 PM
Just got some more red wine to calm my nerves, the OH is very good and even said go for Elizabeth, even though he didn't watch much of the show.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:20 PM
Thanx so much LEE!!!

I am soo chuffed, I was so sure I wouldn't even get to this point!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:23 PM
OK, you might as go for this whatever happens as you cannot lose anyting. Remember you can still ask a friend.

Question Eleven for 64,000 points
Who had a birthday on day 34 in the house?

A Helen
B Bubble
C Elizabeth
D Brian

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:24 PM
Day 34?? Which week was that??

Ok I'm going to have to do some counting again .....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:25 PM
Wooo-hoo!! At least I've made it to 3 pages.

I can count to 3, but am struggling with 34 ..... give me a sec.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:26 PM
Take as long as you want Kaphc. It will give me chance to top up my wine as well.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:27 PM
Helen's was week 1, so that was way too early.

Bubble's was week 2, cos Penny was still there being manic, so again too early.

Leaves Brian and Elizabeth ...... still trying to think about this .

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:30 PM
OK Week 1, days 1 - 7 - Helen
Week 2, days 8 - 14 - Bubble
Week 3, days 15 - 21 - I think Brian's birthday was this week, I seem to remember him being the same star sign as Bubble and Helen.
Week 4 - days 22 - 28
Week 5 - days 29 - 35.

I am going to go for this, might as well anyway, I think it was the night of the pamper party and the birthday was ....

Elizabeth.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:32 PM
Again that all sounds very logical, but how sure are you.

Is this your final answer?

Remember you still have one life line left, you could ask a friend.

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:34 PM
I'd like to save my friend for a Paul or Helen question (if there is one)

I know R.O.B. and bigsister are about, plus some other intelligent people!

I'll go with Elizabeth, she got me to 32,000 so I'll try her again! :xyxwave::spin: fingers crossed.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:39 PM
Well Kaphc, we asked you who had a birthday on day 34 in the house.

If you had said:

A Helen

You would have been wrong

If you had said:

B Bubble

You would have been wrong

If you had said:

D Brian

You would have been.................

:conf::conf::conf:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:41 PM
LEE you are cruel!! :flower::laugh::spin2:

Evil!!! Demons!!! :wavey:

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:42 PM
hehehe

:joker:

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:44 PM
..... you would have been wrong. :hello:

The correct answer is Elizabeth and you're right it was the pampering party.

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:45 PM
Sound fx <huuuuge sigh of relief> Sound fx off

Phew!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:46 PM
Right. We are now playing for some serious points here.

Good luck.

Question Twelve for 125,000 points
Which housemate, apart from Brian, has an Irish mother?

A Elizabeth
B Dean
C Stuart
D Penny

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:49 PM
I know this!!!! It's Dean!!!!

Can you hear my voice? It's at Helen pitch at the moment! :bouncy::hello:

He has an Irish mother and a Jamaican father if I remember rightly.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:52 PM
So Dean is your final answer?

:conf:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:53 PM
Yes! Yes!

Bouncing in my chair like Helen would.

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:54 PM
:elephant::hello::elephant::hello::elephant:

Correct!!!

:elephant::hello::elephant::hello::elephant:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:55 PM
Sound fx <big cheer> sound fx off

:colour:

LEE
23-03-2002, 07:57 PM
Well done Kaphc. We're getting onto some very large points amounts now.

Well here's that Paul and Helen question you were thinking of earlier.

Question Thirteen for 250,000 points
What style of cover did Helen tell Paul she had on her mobile phone?

A Snakeskin
B Leopardskin
C Sparkly Pink
D Picture of Posh and Becks

kaphc
23-03-2002, 07:58 PM
Oh yeah, I knew it was coming. And I have no idea.......

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:01 PM
Definitely time to ask a friend please.

:flower::xyxwave:

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:04 PM
OK Kaphc

Peachy
BigSister
Chilledbootz
Miriam

are online at the mo

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:06 PM
I wanted to ask Romantic Old Bird who I think is also online at the moment.

Is this OK? ROB r u there?

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:08 PM
ROB is here, but her pc has been playing up this evening and she had been thrown off.

ROB can you help?

:flower:

Romantic Old Bird
23-03-2002, 08:09 PM
Hi Kaph. You are doing really well! Big responsibility for me, but I think her mobile had a snakeskin cover.

Good Luck!

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:12 PM
You sound fairly confident on this question, if you don't mind me saying so, so I will go with your answer.

I came here to get to 32,000 if I possibly could , so this is now brilliant.

I'm going to go A - Snakeskin.

Thank you so much for your help :flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:14 PM
And if it's wrong, what the heck, I've having a great time! :wavey:

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:15 PM
Fianl Answer? Remember you would drop 93,000 points if you and ROB are wrong.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:18 PM
Final answer, I trust ROB. I've been reading ROB's wrold in another browser window to calm me down so I owe you one for all the amazingly good stories! Even if it weren't the right answer then I've had a blast and 32,000 is no disgrace.

I don't think you can get Posh and Becks covers, and leopardskin and sparkly pink are probably there are decoy answers.

That's my theory anyway.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:19 PM
:hello::hello::hello::hello::hello:

Correct

You now have 250,000 points.

:hello::hello::hello::hello::hello:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:21 PM
Thank you sooooo much ROB!! You are a complete star!!! :wavey::hello::wavey::hello:

I owe you one very large drink now !!!

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:21 PM
We're now on Question 14 of 15 Kaphc, but you have now used all of your lifelines.

Good Luck.

Question Fourteen for 500,000 points
Which housemate had a dream that there was an ice-cream parlour at one end of the BB2 house?

A Amma
B Paul
C Helen
D Narinder

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:23 PM
Well I know there was a task involving making ice-cream, let me think ....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:25 PM
I really wish I hadn't asked for the clue at 32,000 points, with hindsight, then I could have asked for one now ....

Just trying to see if I have a chance of working this out.

:conf::cat::conf:

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:27 PM
I can hear the cogs whirring round.

What are you thinking kaphc?

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:28 PM
If I was more confident I would say Helen, but I don;t have a clue.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:30 PM
You're thinking Helen.

If you're wrong you would drop 218,000 points to 32,000.

But you could get up to 500,000 if you're right.

:flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:31 PM
I know, it just sounds like such a Helen dream.

I've come this far and part of me wants to gamble.

On the other hand, part of me thinks 250,000 is far more than I expected to get.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:33 PM
It's your decision kaphc. I don't want to influence you on way or the other. It's a lot of points to gamble if you are not sure.

But then again....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:35 PM
I never thought I'd be in this position, I thought I'd be getting some really obvious question wrong!

What a dilemma!! :conf::conf:

Heck, I'm just seeing if I can pluck up the courage to gamble. Let's be honest here!

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:37 PM
Serioulsy kaphc. The decision is 100% yours I do not want to influence you either way.

250,000 points is a very good total.

What do you want to do.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:40 PM
500,000 though.....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:40 PM
Like Stuart I have a competitive streak, so I would love to get to 1,000,000.

On the other hand, having come so far, if it were the TV show I would definitely walk away with 250,000 (let's face it, who wouldn't?!?)

I am sorry to sound so indecisive. Am close to making my mind up ....

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:46 PM
Right that's it I will walk away with what I've got.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:47 PM
How are you doing Kaphc?

Don't let me influence you.

The decision is completely yours:

Stick with 250,000 or risk 218,000 for the chance toget to 500,000.

What are you going to do?

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:48 PM
Yep I will stick with 250,000 and walk away ........

but part of me still wants to gamble even though I don't really know.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:49 PM
Is that your final answer?

kaphc
23-03-2002, 08:49 PM
Nope. I won't gamble on a pure guess,

I am sticking and that's my final answer.

LEE
23-03-2002, 08:53 PM
I am so pleased you did that Kaphc cos the housemate who had a dream that there was an ice-cream parlour at one end of the BB2 house was not Helen but Amma

Well Done

You walk away tonight with 250,000 points.

Joint second place with BigSister.

kaphc
23-03-2002, 09:00 PM
Thanx ROB, Thanx Mark!!

You're right ROB, it is knackering. I feel like I've been through every emotion this evening.

The OH got "Miss Congenality" out on video to watch, must admit I thought it would all be over by 8:30 at the latest, but I didn't account for my indecision!

Thanx also to everyone who has been online for the last 3 hours watching and supporting - it's appreciated. :flower:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 09:02 PM
Thanx Miriam and Peachy. I so feel like I made the right decision. I would have loved to go further, but having read the BB2 book back to back in the last 3 days I couldn't think of anything to do with that question.

I must have heard the "take the money" shouting I think!! :xyxwave:

kaphc
23-03-2002, 09:07 PM
OK, I am gonna go now, 3 hours is quite long enough to be sitting staring at a screen.

Will log back on again tomorrow and look at this in the cold light of day
