I think it's about time the format of the show evolved as it's getting rather stale.

Firstly, it's about time Big Brother gives them permission to talk about nominations before they take place. Hopefully we'll see more gameplaying tactics like we do in BBUSA.

Secondly, I think each housemate should have an individual prize fund (as well as a winner's prize fund). They can earn money to add to their personal prize funds by doing tasks and secret missions given by Big Brother. But when ever a housemate decides to walk out they forfeit all the money they have earnt (therefore hopefully making them want to stay). Each time a housemate survives an eviction they'll receive a sum of cash to add to their personal prize fund. The housemates will also lose money by sleeping during the day, breaking rules etc. Each housemates prize funds will be displayed under their pictures in the living room for everyone to see hopefully stirring up some jealousy.

Also, I want a maximum of 3 new arrivals next year (preferably one or two). And these housemates must reamin in hiding until they enter about 2/3 weeks into the show.

Lastly, I think it's about time we used a vote to save system to try and keep the interesting characters in.

Feel free to discuss your wishlists and whether you like my ideas.

Why don't you design an eye and post it in the fanmade designs.

Yeah basically. Then you can influence peoples' votes, say who you're going to nominate etc.

Thanks! I thought it gives more of a gameshow element to it because at the moment it's just a popularity contest so the biggest gameplayers who prehaps deserve money etc are just hated by the public and are kicked out.

Nominations idea - fantastic.

We need more bitching and backstabbing without going the way BBUS does it.

Personal prize funds idea - fantastic.

Not sure about the vote to save system, and again I like twists. I think they should do more with new arrivals in the future. If they send one housemate in and they're the only one to nominate that week, why not make them do it on the spot there and then?

Great ideas there Jack!

I totally agree with them being allowed to discuss nominations, I'll post my ideas that I posted on DS earlier:

If Big Brother/Channel 4/Endemol want to keep interest in the show they need to have a big change. I'm no producer but as a long time avid fan of the product I think I know what would help bring interest back.

For BB9 the producers need to re-format the show, a Back To Basics approach won't work because take away the huge twists and messing with nominations it may sound appealing, but you'll still get the same type of people applying to be housemates, glamour models and wannabes in hope of some fame. It will quickly become dull.

BB need to make the show appeal to a different type of housemate. So my idea is BB9 - The Rules All Change.

-Encourage gameplaying, make it less about "celebrity" and more about the actual prize money and wanting to win it.
-In order for this to happen, up the prize money to £500,000.
-Allow discussion of nominations. This is a huge change but I think it would improve the series a hell of a lot, this would allow people to form groups and alliances, more backstabbing and overall more gameplaying.
-Make it a Vote to SAVE, it's what most fans want. This will ensure that the big characters stay in longer, it means less manipulation by BB in order for those big characters to stay.
-Bring back the live Saturday night task where the winner becomes House Leader for that week. The House Leader gets special privelidges and can automatically put one housemate up to face eviction along with the two or more housemates that received the most nominations.
-And lastly if someone says "I want to leave" give them just 2 chances, if they say it a second time, kick them out the back door and replace that person as soon as possible.

It's definitely a big chance to take in going for a huge change, but I think changing the rules completely will be the only way to make the show seem fresh again and change its directive from what it is currently "A tired format where people come to get fame afterwards", to a "Fresh format where people come to play the game and win the prize money".

Thanks Matt. I know the vote to save is quite a big thing because people are so used to voting the people they dislike. I'm not saying they shouldn't have twists, on the contrary, just involve the current housemates. New arrivals seem to dillute the show.

Fantastic ideas Martin.

I don't agree with the two-chance idea for walkers however - I think they should be booted out the door the second they announce their intentions.

Great idea but there's one problem. At the moment it's more of a popularity contest and the best gameplan is to be nice (which isn't fun to watch) because the housemates know, at the end of the day, it's the publics' decision. If you have really bitchy, fantastic gameplayers in there the public are just going to hate them and even if they make it to the final due to great gameplaying they wouldn't win because the public like genuine and nice people to win. If you introduce personal prize funds where money is awarded to good gameplayers there's still something to play for, without taking away the public vote like in the US.

Yeah true, I quite like the idea of personal prize funds. But what I'm thinking is if the BB9 is promoted as "The Series Of The Gameplayers" I think the public would be much more willing to like the gameplayers, as hopefully every housemate would be gameplaying.

Maybe we could also incoporate BBAUS's "Floating Under The Radar" rule, so we can get the deadwood up for eviction.

Too many casuals watch the show and would always vote out the Charley's and the Grace's. What's the "flying under the radar" rule? Sounds intersting (sorry don't watch BBAUS).

Yeah but Charley and Grace weren't gameplayers, they were just bitches and nasty. By gameplayers I mean people like Victor and Makosi who although never won had huge fanbases. If a series is marketed as "The Year Of The Gameplayers" and you have housemates like Victor, I think it would work perfectly.

I don't watch BBAUS either but the "Flying Under The Radar" rule is: At the end of each week there is a scan to check which housemates are flying under the radar. This means the quiet housemates who aren't getting involved with much, for example in our current series that would be Kara-Louise, in past series housemates like Susie, Mikey etc. The housemate that is flying under the radar the most automatically faces eviction.

I didn't mean Charley and Grace were gameplayers, I'm just saying if the public don't want to keep these housemates in becuause they are entertaining, there's no chance they'd be open minded enough to keep in the intelligent gameplayers. If it got to the final, the public would vote the nicest housemate regardless of their gameplaying skills.

The "flying under the radar" thing sounds good and should be used.

I think that I'm the only one who doesn't want discussion of nominations at all. It defeats the purpose of nominations, to make the housemates wonder and give them some paranoia. By talking about it, that paranoia starts to fade away. By the way, Australia's Under the Radar was a disaster because the machine didn't work.

It's about time they allowed housemates to discuss nominations to encourage gameplaying. I think Big Brother should forbid housemates to discuss their nominations after they make them to keep it a guessing game.

It wouldn't stop paranoia at all, just look at BBUSA they can discuss nominations all they want, but they are always confused over who nominated who, because you get people lying etc.

Just because they can discuss nominations doesn't mean they have to tell every single housemate who they nominate. So paranoia would very much be alive.

Gosh! U want to turn BBUK into Secret Story (French BB)
It's exactly the same
Housemates can talk about nominations
They have a personal prize funds and win money with secret missions or finding other secrets
It's sur that we can see great gameplayers but i prefer when housemates are not allowed to talk about nominations.
The last 4 housemates can keep the money they have won.
Those who left before loose everything
