HOUSEMATES are in for a major shock this week — Big Brother bosses are to stage a DOUBLE eviction.

Contestants will make their final nominations tomorrow — but will not be told two of them face the chop until the end of the viewers’ vote on Friday.

Producers are taking the step to help trim numbers in the house before the final show on August 31.

An insider said: “We’ve had more housemates than ever this year so we need to get rid of some quickly.”

Gerry is the most recent evictee, walking last Friday.

The insider added: “We’ve decided that two should go this Friday, which will leave us with seven people. Amanda and Sam will count as one.”

Show bosses were last night remaining tight-lipped.

A BB spokeswoman said: “We never comment on speculation.”

With normal nominations I think it is likely they will pick the newest housemates Kara and Jonty for the sacrificial block. However I think there is also a possibility Tracey will be amongst the chosen ones for departure from the BB asylum.....

I think you may well be right. However, I think Tracey will be there for the final week.. I'd think that it's likely to be Jonty and Kara.. just because they've come in so late.

I think this time they should just tell housemates it's a double. They usually guess correctly when there is anyway, and it will be interesting to see how they react knowing for sure that there will be two going.
