After CBB was axed for 2008, C4 have said "An experimental version of Big Brother will air in January - solely on E4"
What kind of BB would you like?
Would you like to see the return of Teen BB or have BB All-Stars? Or do you have different idea? Post here!
I say scrap the public vote and have a trial Big Brother similar to BBUS.

I'd like to see a series like 'The Golden Cage' in Netherlands.
It's made my Endemol, and its from the creator of BB, so it might be a possibility.
For those who don't know about it - it's basically 7 people living in a nice villa, and the last person remaining in the villa wins the villa. In the Netherlands it has been going on for over a year now but obviously for over here they would have to cut it short and maybe get them to evict each other.
I would, personally, like to see a return of Teen Big Brother, expect update it a bit. Have 16-17 year olds, and make it live and not pre-recorded.
Or, Jack's idea is good. Have a UK version of the US BB.

How bout a couple's edition of BB?
12 couples live inside the BB house, they nomo and get evicted like any other BB but the winning couple gets an all expenses paid wedding of there dreams.
Just an idea..

I don't remember Celebrity Big Brother axed for 2008. It can't be because Endemol would have otherwise withdrawn their contract with Channel 4 and Brighter Pictures because it requires that a celebrity version be produced for every regular one except for the final main series in 2010 (but this will probably be extended to a later year).

Big Brother : UK Vs Aus
4 of the most popular housemates from both Big Brother UK and Big Brother Aus enter the Big Brother it fight it out for the prize. No public vote, all evictees chosen by the housemates.

Then it would have 12 people, which is definitely the ideal number for a Big Brother series. If I had to pick:
UK:
Makosi, Aisleyne, Kemal, Michelle
US:
Nakomis, Jen, Monica, Janelle
Australia:
Vesna, Regina, Sara-Marie, Belinda
Maybe they could have celebrity additional housemates that come in during Week 2.
Loukas
24-08-2007, 12:07 PM
yeah maybe
Whatever it's going to be, it will be low budget and low profile. Channel 4 don't want to take a massive risk by spending a lot of money and bringing back ex-housemates. It's likely to be something similar to Teen Big Brother maybe Big Brother: The Battle?

I want the BBUSA rules applied to our format. Just a month with maybe 8 people in a basic house. All allowed to discuss nominations, they do a task to determine Head of House who then has the power to nominate two people. Then the housemates vote to evict one of those two. Because I doubt the public vote will be involved if it's on E4.
This is a great chance to test BB as a proper game, with game play, strategies and alliances. Why not try it? If it works then adapt it into BB9.

It would be great, and it would give them a chance to try out new options that they could bring into BB9.

Yeah definitely. I think the Head of House tasks and the discussion of nominations would be the most successful and bring more to the show in terms of strategic housemates and game play. They could adapt them into BB9 around the public vote.

Or they could even make another show out of it. Use the US rules but don't use it under the name of BB. Like they could show it every year, maybe during Sept-Dec time. I'd love that.
Did anyone see "Shattered". It was a Endemol show aired Channel 4 during 2004 hosted by Dermot O'Leary. It was on for a week and it featured 10 contestants battling it out to win the prize buut they had to give up sleep. Whoever stayed a wake the longest at the end won. I think it's gonna be something similar to this.

Yeah I saw it, I have the finale taped and I came across it not to long ago. I enjoyed 'Shattered' but I dont want to see it again. Like 'Space Cadets' it should be kept as a once off thing.
No I don't mean the same show I just mean the same type of low-profile show.

Yeah that was gonna be my suggestion but it's too obvious Chilltown would win AGAIN.
My cast would be:
BBUK:
Nick - BB1
Brian - BB2
Nadia - BB5
Science - BB6
BBUS:
Dr. Will - BB2 & 7
Mike Boogie - BB2 & 7
Rachel - BB6
Daniele - BB8
BBAU:
Bree - BB4
Tim - BB5
Kate - BB5
Camilla - BB6

My three ideas were
- 16-17 year old teen big brother
- Couples Big Brother
- BB using BBUS format
I'd love a 16-17 teen big brother.
I would love to audition, but wouldnt wanna get through

Or maybe like in France, they all get a secret and they have to discover it ! For the third series of the french BB it's a big success and a brilliant twist. It's so much better than BBUK (don't kill me but it's true lol).

Its bascailly a show were people live together and try to find "the one".
In 'The Villa', 8 people lived in a villa in Ibiza for a week. They were secretly matched-up an the object was to find out who you were matched up with. There was no prize, just a week of partying and getting pissed.
In 'Fool Around with ..' people lived with 4 members of the opposite sex and they had to find out which one of the four were single, while the girlfriends/boyfriends of the 3 non-single players watched from a secret room. There was a good few celebrity series, starring BB3's Spence, BB5's Nadia, CBB3's Kenzie, CBB4's Jodie.

Oh yes I understand you now ! Please not that !
I would love like a world big brother, like world idol. Only problem is that if they did AUS, USA, and UK and possibly even other countries, the USA would never be able to air it as often as the other nations. I am fairly certain that nearly every country that has big brother airs it basically every night, except Saturday in the UK and AUS. If they did one, here is who I would want.
Big Brother USA.
William Big Brother 1
Will Big Brother 2
Janelle Big Brother 6
Jen Big Brother 8
Big Brother AUS
Sara Marie Big Brother 1
Ryan Big Brother 4
Vesna Big Brother 5
Michael Big Brother 6 (The insider one)
Big Brother UK
Alex Big Brother 3
Nadia Big Brother 5
Nikki Big Brother 7
Gerry Big Brother 8

I really hope it isn't anything to do with match-making or boyfriend/girlfriend type of format. It needs to be something totally different and it needs to be different rules. Different housemates should not be the focus but different rules should be.

i really dont think they are going to bring back ex-housemates..i mean look at jade goodie when she went back in i think it is going to be 4 celebs and 4 normal people in a house with different rules to bb and i think dermot will present it because he mostley is on E4.i also heard somewhere that they was thinking of gay big brother where 4 gay men and 4 gay women or bi men and women have to live in a house share 1 big bed and they choose who gets nominated and evicted right infront of the rest of the housemates i mean think about it you have just be nominated by the person you have to sleep next too and you saw it all you would want to put a pillow over there head lol....i think its a gud idea to EXPEREMENT with.:colour:

They won't have LIVE evictions will they if it's on E4. Or a crowd.

Really? Sounds s***!
I think the best idea would be to do a BBUK style BBUSA- really love the format, just love ours better!
I think this would be good. I wouldn't want it to replace normal BB as thats down to the public, and I hate the idea of it not being down to them- I think normal BB with US format would be a ratings disaster to be honest.
But I think it might work for BIG BROTHER X. I think it'd be good for an annual, shorter thing like CBB.

I don't see the benefit in a Teen BB anyway. What's experimental about it? It's already been done, plus a fair amount of the housemates in the normal BB are teens anyway and they hardly bring that much to the show.
I'd rather see something completely different, an Allstars series would be good but I think something like that deserves more time and to be on a bigger scale not just stuck on E4.
I personally hope they try out lots of new ideas and see what works and then adapt those into BB9.

Doubt BBX will be a Teen Edition. Its an experimental BB. Thats just rehashing an old idea.
Not really experimental is it?
Anyway whats the point of it? It only has a limit of 18 and 19 year olds- they can put them in the normal house anyways!

i want an international version with one person from each country around the world.. obviously we cant have all the 30+ countrys, but the ones that still speek english? USA, Australia, UK, Africa, India, and then they would have to get people who speak english from other countrys, Germany, France, Mexico, etc. OR just have all the english countrys that dont even have a big brother.. so then USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, India, Philippines etc. etc. :)

How about an world first - Big Brother: The Families
10 family's move into the BB house. When I say family, I mean 4 members of a family. They could be mother, father, brother, sister, auntie, uncle, cousin, grandad, grandma.
Each family would be counted as one housemate, but that is 40 people in total. Each housemate wold have there own 'mini-home' with beds and a very small living area (Kinda like a bedsit) but they would all share the main house which would have kitchen, Diary Room, main lounge etc.
Every week the families would choose one member of there family to represent them and play in the 'Top Family' competition. The winning family will be immune from that weeks eviction and will nominate two other families for eviction. The public will vote for which family they want to win and the one with the least votes is evicted.

The house would be made much much bigger then usual and I suppose they could have a rule like 'There must be one family member in the 'mini-house' at all times, unless specified otherwise.'
