C4 boss admits that BB8 hasn't been as good as bb7.

Julian Bellamy, the "controller of programming" of C4, has addmitted that this years bb has not been as good as last years.
I think it's encouraging that someone at the top is prepared to say this and not try and put anykind of spin on this disastrous series.
Hopefully, with a full year to reflect on where they went wrong, and have been going wrong since the calamotous "golden ticket" in bb7, they can comeback with a another classic series in bb9.
As terrible as this year's show has been, i know i'll still be "gagging for it" come the opening night of bb9.
Besides, it's another odd year, and all the odd number bb's have been the best, imho.

Well BB3, BB5, and BB1 all had better ratings than BB7. And in actuality, despite higher numbers than BB6, the viewing percentages (the important info) were slightly lower than both BB6 and BB4.

BB8 was more intelligent, with funniest housemates, good twists and entertaining factors. BB7 was a disaster because all the great characters went early, that's terrible, it should have been so much better. I did enjoy BB7 but for me BB8 is better in the way it's been completely different with normal housemates.

I don't have a fav series, I like them all. But not series can beat BB4-Bore, that was so boring, and even a boring person won. Well I completely agree, BB7 was for me a meeting for mentals only. That's the series of every mistakes BB shouldn't make but oh well it's done. I respect BB7 lovers and I'm not surprised if they don't like BB8 because it was different at all.

personally I thought bb1 was crap,i just dont think it was entertaining at all ,and i diddnt really get it,but i will say that i was only 10 at the time and so its understandable that it wasnt really my thing back then.BB2 i absolutly loved however and really got into it despite only being 1 yr older lol.I also loved bb3 ,my 2nd fave series of all time,bb4 i TRIED to watch but after 2 weeks i gave up and lost my faith in big brother for a bit and decided not to watch bb5!I tuned back in now and again for bb6,it was ok but i diddnt get into it like i had done with previous years.bb7 was a pure legendary,I loved it from day one right until the final night and i think the characters were amazing,yes they were total nutters but i liked that lol,better than being boring eh?I laughed so many times during that series and theres some great quotes come from it.
So that brings me to bb8,which on the whole has been good and enjoyable to watch but i do think that the tasks have been pretty poor and the housmates distinctly average compared to last year where we had shabaz,glyn,nikki,lea,richard,aisleyne and of course the plastics!

Forget about Pete, and look at Richard, Nikki, Grace, Sezer, Ash, and Leah they made it so watchable, Pete wasn't even shown that much on the highlights. Richard and Nikki made hialrious TV, that we never saw in other BBs.

I think it is clear that the controller of programming for channel 4 clearly didn't say "that BB8 hasn't been as good as BB7".

There is clearly no reliable source for this information.

It has all been made up by some member on Digital Spy that liked BB7 so much that they just wanted to rubbish BB8.

Nadia did have some real claim to fame around the world, being a transsexual she made the world papers. Nikki doesn't really have any claim to fame outside the UK. That is why Nadia was asked to appear on Big Brother over there and not Nikki.

It doesn't matter if people were laughing at Nikki on some tin pot radio station. It would have been if the general public knew of her that would have influenced the decision to put her in the house or not if the producers wanted to do the same trick again. Clearly they didn't want her or may be they thought repeating the same trick would be pointless.

In any case she wasn't on the show and Nadia was and 171 people weren't going to make a bit of difference to what the producers did.
