Given that Chanelle walked and left the show of her own free will, where the producers right to let her back in the house?

I don't think it is right, even for 5 minutes, if a housemate decides to leave that should be it. No final night and no after show party. It doesn't matter who it is they let the show down and their fans.

They left and that is it... good bye and don't come back.

Jackie

yes but it was only 5 minutes and mainly aimed at winding ziggy up.

Yes. No need for BB to victimise the girl just because the stress got the better and she walked.

Arneldo

No. She left of her own accord, she should be allowed back in, even for five mins.

I agree with Red Moon. Once you walk, you walk. You don't deserve any further airtime.

Red Moon

Even so she left and let her fellow housemates down. If she wanted to be in the house she should have left in the first place.

It was a really bad idea letting her back. What if she has passed on something from the outside world to Ziggy?

Jackie

well i think it was a great idea.

Chanelle is one of BB's greatest housemates. Of course she should be allowed to appear just for a task......Look at the tibb pol to see how well loved she is.......Why should BB deny the majority to keep the minority happy....

Lolla
26-08-2007, 08:03 PM
Because the minority are far more important don't you know?

But it's like telling people it okay to walk because you can come back if you get enough good press and it might be good for the ratings.

I dont mind. This is just making an issue out of nothing. Shes gone now.

CassetteFinger
26-08-2007, 08:34 PM
Well she was a big part of BB8.

Red Moon

I agree she was a big part of the show and I liked a lot of what she did in the house. She overall was a very good housemate until the end but she walked and that should that. She shouldn't have been allowed to return.

CassetteFinger

I suppose but shes gone now so lets just forget about it.

Red Moon

Not quite, she will be on tomorrows highlight show.

You are right it's too late now the producers have done it, but it doesn't mean it was right.

She has not come back. she was just part of a BB task.......BB is known for adapting it's rules to suit the circumstances....Chanelle does not belong to the normal category of walkers quitting a week or two in. She was a big part of the BB story lines. A big part of this series. To want to deny her a five minute return to keep happy a large number of fans I find almost unbelievable...

And there the problem lies. It is the principle that if someone walks of there own free will they should take no further part in the show that has been broken here for the a expected rating gain.

If they wanted could have done the same task with someone that hadn't walked and had left early in the show. They didn't have to use a walker.

The truth of the matter is if this thread had been about Jonathan going back in for a task most people who voted in the poll would have selected the No option, even though he left for family reasons.

No, she shouldn't have been allowed back.

If people want to walk, that's fair enough. However, although she was happy to turn her back on the show, she was then more than happy to milk it for all the publicity she can (I've lost count of how many magazine covers I've seen her on in the past few weeks).

BB had her back because they were desperate - this series is not doing very well. Same reason they had Jon Tickle back.

BB obviously do have the right to change the rules - but the constant changing of rules which we have seen in the last few series makes it pointless having any rules in the first place.

I don't want Chanelle back either. Why should she come back? She decided to leave and they let her do so and now they are glad to let her back?? That's a stupid decision and if she wants my vote, she can forget it!!! What if Lesley asked to come back? It's crazy? If she wanted to leave, then why return?

She walked.... therefore gave her right to be in the house away.

No way she should have gone back in even for 5 mins.

Yet again BB lets me down
