I am in dire need of help on sketch up!!!

I have now fully downloaded sketch up, but i am unsure how to do a few things, but that should come with a little practice.

Any help will be greatly appreicated!

I was wondering how does everyone else use sketch up?

If any 'sketch up pros" are on tonight please come here!

1) How do i create big brother houses?
2) how do i post my houses onto TiBB?
3) Can you design eyes? or only houses?
4) What does everyone else design on sketch up?
5) what buttons do i press to do the different things?

These are just a few questions that i would like answering! -

PS. If i change the thread title, we coul make this the Sketch up Thread for everyone.

i have sketch up.... all you need to do is select the line tool drag a line along the blue axes to go up red and green to go from side to side... and when you make a full thape the shape will be filled in with a color...... to make a house just build walls up one by one.... then you can zoom right inside your 3d image and start to work on the inside....
but i have no idea how to save a pic of the house.. i would really want to know that though... hope that helped

Thanks a lot - i will go and try it - i think im just going to create a random house, - so if and when i post it, it may not be that good for a first attempt - lol

Anyway - we need to know how to post them dont we!!!!!

To save a pic of the house simply go to File - Export - 2D Graphic and save it as a jpeg.

Anything else you'd like to know just ask. Designing a BB House can be quite a daunting task if you're new to SketchUp.

On sketch up how do you draw doors? or place doors within the walls? - and how do you draw 4 walls without the "roof" coming on? if you know what i mean - lol

I just draw a "fake door" using the line tool. To get rid of the roof just make your 4 walls and then after the roof automatically goes on click on it and press delete.

aww right! - thanks alot! i have been designing a "kitchen" only a small part, but its the first thing ive done on sketh up - i will post it.

thanks, i am really pleased - now, i think im going to design a "real" house that could be used.
