I agree he is very very interested in his career but on the whole I think he does like Big Brother. If he didn't I think it was a good show to front I think he would give it up. He can't be short of offers for work.

A lot of celebrities are like that. The proof can be found in watching Celebrity Big Brother.

It is a shame that thier the celebrity ego's take over and spoil nice people. Dermot is getting to that point in his career where his ego will get too big and destroy him if his not careful. He needs to ground himself and not think he is a bigger star than he is.

why can't people leave Dermot alone, i've met him 7 times and he is such a nice guy... he loves big brother and that is whhy he used to fly back from x factor auditions just to do the show! and he is not leaving BBLB and is willing to do another series which is good news becasue he's funny and professional, also who cares if brian is his fav, he can say that if he wants he is entitled 2 a fav housemate

he's a hard worker and he obviously loves big brother, you can tell his enthusiasm is genuine, come on give the guy a break at least he's not famous for being a total screw-up like pete docherty or amy winehouse.....his feet are on he ground way more than those two.

That's a very good [1st post] of yours Berto3000. It hit's the nail on the head basically - Just because we hear something from Dermot that we don't particularly like - we judge him from that and come out with nasty comments - [well I don't!!!] I love him as a BBLB presenter and if the choice by him is to stay for the next series, then I am more than glad of that.

thanks but it has to be said coz he is a really nice person and has so much fun doing BBLB... people just get angry coz he likes brian and keeps mentioning him but if i was a BBLB presenter i would mention my favourite, u are entitled to and he isn't persuading any1 to like brian

It's almost the end of this year's BB. I think Dermot has done a remarkable job. I don't think he influences the public as much as you might think. The public do have a mind of their own, and will make it up. In much the same way as they did in this year's CBB. More and more people can see that the media twist things out of proportion and often it's the innocent people who get vilified (sp) :whistle:

yeah i agree, he can't influence people to like brian coz i really like dermot and he does go on about brian quite a bit and clearly he wants brian to win but i cant stand brian! and it shows that if he can't influence me to like brian (when i really like dermot) then how can he influence other people

Dermot is very upfront with his opinions. I guess he has lived the Big Brother life, like the lovely and delectable Davina McCall who will be supporting her chosen one. I was surprised when I saw the bad press about him and thoughts of him leaving BBLB, but that is always possible? But he's doing well on the X-Factor, but just like Ant & Dec, he's versatile

I take anything I read in the media with a pinch of salt, but I still think Jade is vicious, and that is an opinion I've formed from what I've seen of her for myself in Big Brother and Back To Reality - she can be very vindictive and nasty.

....so there's really no need to accept his opinion as relevant. He's just trying to big up that horrible X Factor show with the bad singers on.

He's not ginger. I agree with anyone who says that he is entitled to an opinion as much as anyone else. Some people seem to think that, just because he's a presenter, any opinion he has isn't valid because he's 'biased'. What's the difference in him having a favourite housemate and any of you having one?

Dermot of late in particular is not behaving as a presenter should on a game show with many entrants and a cash prize at the end.

He is allowing his personal preferences to influence the format of the show.........In that respect he turns from being a good presenter into a CH4 puppet and a bad presenter of BBLB.

He can do the job properly. question is will he in future if indeed there is a future for the format of BBLB to continue once the format of the main BB has been re-vamped next year.....

Conclusion. As of this moment this series he is making a mockery of the show.......

If Dermot is not in love with Brian then he is a damn good actor and should turn his attentions to acting rather than presenting....
