on BBLB they were saying how the twins could release the christmas song they sing and it would go to number one.
do you think it will be a success? especially with X factor around
BeckyBee

No thanks - there is always enough crap out at Christmas without adding to it!
Barbie
30-08-2007, 08:29 AM
im not sure if they will or not
i think if they did it would have a good chance of getting to number one and without X factor it probably would
Loukas
30-08-2007, 08:32 AM
yeah why not
Jackie

Yes i think it will make no 1 ,if they released a single their songs are quite catchy.

lol why not, would be fun to see the video!
jingle bell ,jingle bell, jingle bell rock!
They have just ripped off mean girls though with their dance routine
stacey
30-08-2007, 11:49 AM
i'm not sure, they would have a lot of support for it because of the amount of people liking them but i don't think it will be able to compete and beat the x factor winners single for christmas number one.

This is a farce. The twins cannot sing, they are tone deaf. Surely this is proof positive the the pop industry is about making money as the twins are marketable, not about singing in tune or talent. I watched a clip from TOTP2 last night, and saw this incredibly talented performance of a song by John Miles called 'Music'. That was talent. He was an average looking guy, but he played piano, electric guitar and sung amazingly, and wrote the song. It is a cross between classical, a nice piano ballad and rock. THIS is talent.
Even if people like the twins, (I DESPISE them), this does not mean they should flood the market with their talentless voices.
Anyone who thinks they can sing in key when listening to 'A Whole new World', is quite simply, wrong. If I put them through an auto tuner, they still would sound wrong, as they aren't even a semi-tone out.
The music business is a pile of poo.

if this did happen I dont the the twins would be claiming to be some sort of whitney and mariah,it would be for pure novelty value, not to be taken to seriously.

Yes, and they receive lots MORE money for a load of talentless trash. I would approve, if they donated all the money they made (or the record company makes) to a charity.

So what.they deserve the money they`d make for it,after all im sure it would take alot of time and effort so why shouldnt they be rewarded with cash ,just like anyone else would. If the cheeky girls can release an album (maybe 2,i dont actually keep track) then why not sam and amanda,i mean at least there likable!

I think the Cheeky girls are nonsense also.
You tell me they DESERVE the money they'd make?
1) They will win 100,000 from BB and you say they deserve MORE.
2) Time and effort?
Do you know ANYTHING about the recording studios nowadays. They could send 5 minutes recording their vocals and they are done. It is all auto-tuned.
They do not write music, cannot sing and have no talent.
I spend hours slogging songs in my recording studio, yet you are telling me that they DESERVE money for this?
They have no talent, so how can they DESERVE the money?

what a load of nonsense. Just because you think ppl are nice, doesn't mean they deserve money for releasing a single.
Where is the talent?

I do not accept your opinion. NOBODY who is talentless should release a single. I do not endorse The twins, the cheeky girls, the spice girls, or any talentless twaddle.
Your argument is hypocritical. 'Oh, I think loads of talentless stuff is released, so why not the twins?'
That's like saying 'oh there's loads of murderers how about one more?'
A person of true integrity would aim to rid the world of ALL talentless crap.
Your argument also suggests that ANYBODY who is 'nice' (I think the twins are the spawn of satan), should release a music single.
That makes a mockery of music, which should only be produced by talented people, not nice people. Shall we now have nice architects? Nice teachers? Nice politicians?
Let's forget about talent.
What a load of bollox.

Listen people I think it's best that Moses and Supernoodles agree to disagree. Everyone is entitled to an opinion so let's just accept it huh?
Now let's move on, I say that if they want to do a single then best of luck to them, the song probably wouldn't be that good but all the best to 'em I say. It wouldn't compete with X Factor but all the best to 'em.

Actually, that is incorrect. If 'peoples' refers to the plural, the apostrophe can come after the 's', this is still grammatically correct.

Actually, it is correct. "People" is plural, and it is a plural that does not end with "s". In the case of a plural that does not end in "s", then you add an apostrophe, followed by the "s". It's basic grammar that a teacher like yourself should know by now.

Well, this topic was a very interesting read - starts with a xmas single by the lovely Twinnies and proceeds to a lovely argument over spelling and authority and rights. Anyway - I would love for the Twins to win and I hope they do most strongly. I would love also for both to release a xmas single - which could only go crazy at xmas time. Naturally, the No.1 slot will go to the X-Factor finalist. But a No.2 would be good - unless the Twinnies release it earlier, perhaps a week or two at the most. I'll buy it!
