I'm staying in the education system until I'm 26 (I'm 18 now)

I HATE early mornings. I like to learn though.

You'll miss school days in a few years though, trust me.

Edit; Chris, you'll love 6th form so much more than school!

I don't like the early mornings and such but school isn't bad. It's such a small part of your life you might as well get on with it!

Summer holidays are nearly ended and lovely School for weeks and weeks. No, I never liked School much. It is an important part of our lives, but there is better things to come after you leave, like a good job that pays good money

I've got the chance to make studies I want and I love as "Politic and international Buisness". But God, sometimes I don't want to go to school, it annoys me so much. I'm a huge 'clubbing-sleeping-shopping" addict so sometimes the school is awful.
But it's the place where I see my friends and my girlfriend everyday so without it I couldn't survive.

I don't go back to school until 10th September. I hate the early mornings aswell, I don't mind it when i'm there because it's less boring than some people make out because there is always something to do.

I hated school, left this year and starting college next Wednesday. Although I only went there for the day yesterday, I think it's soo much better than school already! Everything isn't so strict there, like smokers can smoke whenever they want (in certain areas), you can wear as much make-up as you want (which I love because in my last school all the teachers ever told me to do was put my make up off), and stuff like that.. it's just so different

British people are lucky, you go to school at 9, you have a break during 20 minutes, 55 minuted for eating and you finish at 3:15pm.
In France, we start at 8am until 12am and to 2pm to 5pm. But it's not like in England, it changes everyday. For exemple the monday I do 8am-11am- 1pm-6pm etc....
Can't wait to have my new schedule on thrusday and to became one more time the Class President haha

SparkyX3
31-08-2007, 09:29 PM
Ah... we start at 8:50, 20 minute break at 10:35, 1 hour break at 12:40 (6 periods of class that goes for 50 minutes... with 5 minute breaks in between each period), we end at 3:25

Thankfully I only have another year of this... (with alot of study periods :)), heh we only go to year 12 :)

Don't worry! The same happened to me. I was moved completely away from friends for 2 years and put in a group of people I harly knew nor liked.

Just learn to get on with it if you can, try your best to make a small circle of friends in the group and usually you find if you make even just one friend in the group then others will start to talk to you.

My son starts at a new school tomorrow (he's in year seven). He's just gone out to buy his new shin pads and is yet to buy a new ruler and calculator but for him it is all excitement.

My daughter will be going back to year ten on Wednesday. She's got exams to concentrate on and that is going to be hard for her as she has mild ADHD and as yet undiagnosed dyslexia. We only had the dylexia a few weeks before the summer term when a new school and a new teacher posed the idea! No wonder it has been so hard for her but doesn't it just show what a rotton state 'the system' is in?

I hated school and I've always wanted to find schools so that my kids enjoyed their education. My daughter enjoyed her last term at her new school as much as she could at a new school! But school is always going to be a hard place. It is full of hormonal teenagers fighting to find their place and then there's the teachers - some good, some c**p. Poor teachers do not help matters do they? The good ones are few and far between sadly.

So that hating school thing is very common. Fingers crossed for everyone going back to school that this term it is a better one though.

Callum

I also hate school. It's unfair because when I started in Year 7, my friends were all in the same classes as each other, leaving me on my own. Hopefully we're getting mixed around this year, but I can't wait till i'm 16 and can move on. :bored:

That's very true. Most of the teachers in my school can't control the class. But there are a few teachers who make everyone shut up when they walk in the room.

Good luck with your son tomorrow, year 7 is a new and sometimes scary time. I have to go in tomorrow and look after them all.

I'm scared about that too Callum, they know how I'm out of control with friends. Good luck in getting classes with them.
