On BBLB reunion on the Gems of the Series, we saw Gerry trying to destroy Munkety Tunkety with the hoover, and he admitted to doing it on purpose. It was a clear act of malice. Gerry just couldn't stand the fact that Jonty stole his act of being the comical eccentric who talked to his stuffed animals, so he tried ruining Jonty's toy. What a pathetic little cretin. An act out of jealousy and spite.

Gerry is a sour, bitter, bullying, patronising, smug, envious little man and he's looking for acceptance? LOL, now that's a gem! :joker:

I think it is. It's not about the monkey, it's about why he tried to ruin it, not the fact that he almost did. It shows how malicious, petty and vindictive he can be towards someone he has a small problem with, and in the case of Jonty I think Gerry is jealous.

And that's only one of many reasons to dislike Gerry, as I already disliked him long before that, but it's still a good reason imo.
