Should Jade be forgiven?

Its occured to me that Jade is slowly getting her popularity back and I just want to say, I am glad.

I think she was a horrible bully in CBB, BUT no one should have to put up with long time hate and a label, if they havn't done something THAT serious

Pete Burns did worse to Jodie/Traci and he was asked to present BBBM:rolleyes:

I think society should forgive Jade completely, and we should get rid of the label that shes given, of 'racist'

We shouldn't have to forgive Jade. It was Shilpa she victimised and bullied like the awful hag she is, so Shilpa is the one to forgive and she did soon after leaving the House, but it's not like Jade did anything personally to all of us.

But this isn't the first and only example of bullying from Jade, so it's hard to forget. "Racist" is arguable, but she has well and truly earned the "bully" label.

What Jade did was serious though imo. Sure, loads of people complained and everything, which makes it seem like it's being blown out of proportion, but I don't think it was. If people hadn't complained so much and if the protests in India didn't happen, I doubt that BB would actually have done anything to stop the coven's behaviour towards Shilpa and would just have let it continue. Even Dermot O' Leary on BBLB and BBBB had been implying that Shilpa brought such treatment upon herself, but immediately dropped it when the complaints were getting more serious, so the producers were obviously favouring Jade until then.

The whole witch-hunt business after CBB was probably unneccessary and things may have been blown out of proportion then, especially if the death threats were real, but it doesn't change the fact that what Jade and her fellow gang of trolls were doing was awful and a disgrace, even when you take the racism stuff away from it.

I've never agreed with Jade's popularity in the first place. What has she actually done to earn millions of pounds and celebrity status? Seeing Shilpa forgave her and she has been villified enough, I think we should forgive and forget (forget in every meaning of the sense). In my opinion, she should never be given any media attention again.

I agree with what Jack said about forgetting. I would love to forget, but unfortunately, Goofy will probably be around for a while yet. And while the media continue to showcase creatures such as the Jade, I will continue to criticise them.

I agree with a lot of what's already been said:

I completely agree with Jack, and it's sad that the day has gone when being a celebrity required a "talent", but seeing as it wasn't our job to do the forgiving, we should now move on from the incident.

I think it's key though, that after an argument or incident, that you learn from your mistakes, and don't make the same ones twice. I'm not so sure whether Jade has thought "Right, I won't do that again". Time will tell...

Yeah i actualy like jade and thought it was horrid how she got the blame for being racist! she did not say one racist remark. Maybe she shouted but i do not call that bullying, dont we all shout in arguments it happens in every day life and it is not on the news!
I think joe and danielle got away with it all and they were the ones who made racist remarks. Jade got all the blame and it was so not fair!

I agree on Danielle getting away with it but not Jo. She also apparently received death threats like Jade. And she hasn't been in the media flaunting herself and using the race row to further her media status like Danielle, and Jade has been in the media an awful lot too.

The fact that Jo has kept more quiet ever since shows, in my opinion, that she is genuinely ashamed of what she did and doesn't even want any z-lister status gained from what she did - Unlike Danielle and Jade, who both seem happy to keep themselves in the spotlight, knowing that the awful thing they did is what is keeping them so well-known.

I agree, I like Jade too, have done since BB3!

It wasn't the politicians fault it was Jade Goody's and her little lap dogs. If they hadn't have said and done what she did she wouldn't be in this position now and there would have been no complaints or the sanitized Big Brother 8 we have all just finished watching.

However turning our attention to the complaints to Ofcom. I believe a lot of the complaints didn't even come from people that watch the show. Most people complain about something within 24 hours of seeing it. In this case most of the complaints came later than that. There was clearly a Chinese whisper campaign on the streets and on the internet. The politicians got involved in the whole thing after the complaints started rolling into Ofcom like they always do making it sound like it was there idea.
