Well its been a while since I logged on here as soooo much has changed since my BB2 days..... (Graeme "Stickings") suggested I popped back to take look..

I hope all of you are well and nice to see you are still interested in the good old days as well as current BB:wink::wink:.. to finish my post a rumour which is just, that but interesting!

There is a suggestion that as Brian was voted most popular HM and BB2 the most popular BB series and no Celeb BB this year, there could be some kind of re-make/reunion only with the original 11 BB2 HM`s... could you imagine that !!

Something to think or talk about

Keep well

Stuart

Mrluvaluva

I have watched them all and I do prefer the earlier ones to the current ones. House mate wise it has just changed so much. It's not as good as it used to be in my opinion.

Erm BB2 was one of the better ones, and has some of the most memorable house mates. ^^

I know you keep in touch with Dean, Stuart. Do you keep in touch with any of the others? There were some great characters in that series like Helen for instance. She made me laugh. And Bubble.

What do you do now then? Did the show change your life in any way?

I loved BB2 (I'm shouting this in capitals but saying it as I'm not allowed to type in capitals)

A lot of people ripped into BB2 but why? It was no way near as bad as this year for instance!!!

hi - as you can see I am really busy..lol.. thats why i have been logged on here all day.

Yes I do see most of the ex BB2 people from time to time and we all do speak - many years ago I arranged the BB2 re-union in London and so its quite easy to keep in touch by text or msm etc

As for what am I up to and what has happen since -

a. there is not enough room on this page
b. you would be asleep well before I finished
c. I hear if you hang it out long enough you can get a book deal ..lol
d. or you get a reality show of your very own......
e. failing that you get invited on some other reality show (Simon cowell I hope your paying attention - celeb X factor here I come...lol

Thank you for all the comments and interest - its actually very flatterering

StuartBB2
06-09-2007, 03:34 PM
No problem with the questions.. fire away (opps perhaps I shouldn’t have said that) !!

I loved being involved in BB2 - we didnt go in with any expectations, although we were all poseurs and show offs hence why they chose us.. we were all pretty Naive to TV as well and I think that is why it was such a good series..

So if the rumour to re-make blardy blah the series or invite us all 11 HM`s to be together would I do it ...??????

In the words of Marcus Bentley -- "you decide" lol

Mrluvaluva
06-09-2007, 03:36 PM

Did you watch the 1st Big Brother, and have you followed the subsequent series up to the present one Stuart?

StuartBB2
06-09-2007, 03:53 PM
No I didnt watch the First one, as I was working in France and the US at the time it was on, I only got to see the final on Tape and thats when the number came up to ring for BB2 and I thought that sounds fun ...the rest is Historyyyyyyyyyyyy.

I watched BB3 as I was reporting on the show for a radio station, magazine and web site - and I hated Jade from the start - I haven’t really ever said this but personally I think she is responsible for lowering the tone of the show and was fake from the outset... plus they all knew the game and wanted something from it .. in the first 2 series we had NO IDEA..

From then on I am afraid it got worse, of course I was intrigued to see who was going in, but year after year the producers seem to want either freaks or controversy and Jade finished off where she began and I really hope she now "works it out" and disappears as no one likes her or is interested anymore.

As for this year.. didnt really watch a lot... having said that my girlfriend is obsessed with the show.. but Brian was a real BB fan and apparently has watched all the series and has them on DVD ..lol so good on him.

sorry long answer for a short question..lol

Mrluvaluva
06-09-2007, 04:05 PM
No that's a great answer thanks.

I do agree with you about the house mates in the further series. They all became wannabees and a lot of them were quite weird. As, I said, I preferred the earlier ones, as it was more of an experiment.

I wasn't going to say anything about Jade incase she was a mate of yours. :joker: I do agree with you. I can't stand the woman! She has done the show a lot of bad. Have you ever had the misfortune to meet her?

StuartBB2
06-09-2007, 04:12 PM
I have been in many a situation and place where she has been and I am not too faced so avoided her like the plague...lol

Not someone I ever really want to be involved or associated with - its proven that she is a bully and not a nice person...

Brian did well to win BB2 and I think some favourable Editing helped but hey thats BB as we know and love right ...., shame he didn`t work out the media game back in the days of SMTV otherwise I think he could be doing much more than just Hell`s Kitchen.

heard Brians interview on Chris Moyles, said he was a true BB fan and knows all the series.. so for that alone yes I am glad he won as a genuine fan and not a wanabe .. didnt really watch much of it though

Hi Stuart! Nice to hear from you again. Some of us will never forget BB2. The best ever. I kept on watching the follow up series but they have never captured the same feeling again have they?

They didn't mess with the formula in 2001, apart from bringing in Josh after week 2.

They just put in a group of (fairly) normal people and watched them become friends, get drunk, get on each others nerves, flirt, fall for each other, and get heart-breakingly ripped apart.

No-one was punished for discussing nominations (which Dean and Brian did all the time), and there was no 'fix' to keep favourites like H&P together.
(Not like the blatant efforts made week after week to keep Charlie in)

Actually, I wished they had done a fix on that one at the time, but it all seemed a lot fairer and above board then.

I think subsequent BB's have just about cured me of my obsession now, but happy memories still in all.

All things must pass.

StuartBB2

Me? Still obsessed? How very dare you Stuart!!

If BB2 HM's were all reassembled I would need to book a place in rehab before it started...

I can't really see it though, sadly.

Some of the HM's have worked hard to regain their anonymity again, haven't they? (Well one in particular, sadly!)

Brian (D) might well want to seperate himself from his origins on BB, and poor old Penny had to work pretty hard to get back into teaching didn't she?

Narinder would definitely turn up though!

Hey Stuart,I hope you're well and all the other BB2 lot aswell.

I have BB2 to thank for lots of things no sleep for weeks and all these years later I'm like a stuck record still going on about how good it was in the days of BB2.
I still have far too much of it recorded hours and hours worth. It's the reason I first came on to TIBB and got to know lots of lovely people from it aswell.
IMO it will always be the best one it had the best mix of characters, fun, laughter and real romance.
I'm sort of hoping the reunion thing doesn't happen as I was just starting to recover and get over my BB2 problem:tongue:

StuartBB2

you and me both in rehab not sure the priory has room for any more x BB HM`s ..lol

HEY, throw enough money and incentives for people anything can happen - just look at the recent jungle line ups:spin2:

Sadly (still in touch - doing well and his Mum was on D or No D- funny..)

Narinder has just had her 2nd kid - arhhh but your right she would still turn up.

makes you think though - remember Endemol sold our series to Finland.. (true fact) and Father Christmas still remembers me every year..(slightly true):joker:

Andy - BB has changed so much from BB2 as I mentioned even the bb3 people had a pretty good idea of what to do and Not to do,, depends what you want from BB - we got a first hand experience of reality TV when it was new, now BB9 not sure what they want and the programme has lost its way a little..

andybigbro
06-09-2007, 09:36 PM

Yes It has changed, Well i am told anyway as i didnt see BB2 but Would you have prefered to have twist while you were a housemate?

StuartBB2
06-09-2007, 09:39 PM
It was strange enough with out BB playing with your mind, I supposed we had Josh come in as the 11th person so that was the twist - our series also had no one walk or be thrown out so not too bad really ....

StuartBB2
06-09-2007, 09:44 PM
Ok I am off now as I have a really early start..

Thanks for all the questions and really nice to see the interest is still in BB2, I will be sure to mention this to the other BB2 people.

Nice of you to drop by Stu and hope things are going well for you.

I agree with you about Jade and don't blame you for avoiding her. She plays a pseudo-thicko but is smarter than she makes out. It's a shame producers brought her back for CBB. God knows what they were thinking. The Jade/Shilpa fiasco has sadly cast a shadow over the show and that's why I've avoided this series. I am also fed up with these talent-vacuums and celeb-wannabes going into BB just to get their clothes off for Nuts mag when they leave and so-called fans of the show booting out the best house mates every series.

I never watched a lot of BB 3 as I was still pining for BB 2. Besides I didn't like the new house. I ate and slept BB 2 throughout its duration. There is just something very special about that series. You were all brilliant house mates being yourselves and Brian was a deserving winner, unlike the rest who followed him. Then there was the Helen and Paul romance which was the icing on the cake. I also loved the brilliant analysis from the psychologists Geoffrey Beattie and the other chap who described you as "the biggest winker in the house" (classic line you have to admit Stu!). For any BB fan who missed this series I strongly suggest you buy the video or DVD and take a look for yourselves. It is and always will be the greatest BB series of all.

As BB 3 came across loud and boorish, I think the producers tried to recreate the success of BB 2 with BB 4 but unfortunately they picked the wrong people and it become "BB Snore". The few interesting HMs like Anouska, who in my opinion would have been a great housemate, was booted out after 2 weeks, and the loss of Jon Tickle was the end for me. Ever since BB 4 the producers have gone for controversy and got in freaks to avoid it becoming dull. Sometimes the format has worked but the charm, as we had for BB 1 and 2, is not there.

Anyway I am very excited at the prospect of a reunion of BB 2 with the original house mates. I really hope this will be the sunshine and blue sky to disperse the black clouds surounding the programme caused by the odious Goody family.

supernoodles!

Hiya Stuart, incase you pop by again Id just like to say how much i loved big brother 2.Its the real reason im the true bb fan I am today! As I diddnt watch bb1 bb2 was my first bb experience and I have to say I loved it.Thanks for helping making it so enjoyable to watch, you really stirred it up in there and made it very interesting.Even though I was the tender age of 11 at the time I can still remember the good old days of bb and always will, people are still very much interested in the bb of 2001:wink:

Thanks for defending Helen Stu. I don't think she ever was anything but niave and of course dyslexic. She was always completely herself, and just enjoyed herself in the house.

Not dissimilar to the twins in her complete lack of guile, love of all things pink and glittery and her sunny disposition.

I agree about Jade trying to copy all the helenism traits when she was obviously a completely different character.

Helen was a sweetie. maybe not an academic, but in her own way, wise and grounded.

"There is a suggestion that as Brian was voted most popular HM and BB2 the most popular BB series and no Celeb BB this year, there could be some kind of re-make/reunion only with the original 11 BB2 HM`s... could you imagine that !!"

Has there been any progress with this?

all I Know is that there was/is talk about a BB2 thing - not much detail around this, with Celeb Hijack taking place this is taking focus but as far as I know its still being discussed ,,,,,

Ooh, that will be really good if it comes off.

With BB9 auditions starting in November, do you now think BB has had it's day. How can the producers make it better from here? IMO BB8 was a big let down. It has changed so much over the years, how can they keep the audience interested? Do you think the format needs changing slightly?

I think that is why a remake was considered - because the show has lost its way and why not just put in 10 normalish people... adding the freak element or trying to intimidate the HM`s really is quiet overdone and doesnt make great viewing anymore..

Sure even in our series we were all attention seakers and were poseurs in our own right but not desperate for FAME. That part came after and was a real nice surpise to us all.. NOT EXPECTED..

The current BB contestants evaporate quicker than water in the desert these days and that is because they only want one thing and unfortunatly most of them will never get it.

I agree. They are just fame hungry wannabees now and some are pretty fake. Personally, I don't want to see this. For me, it was so much better getting to know the characters. Having your average joe public in would be so much better IMO. Brian (BB8) seems to have faded into obscurity already.

A personal question here then. Did you make a lot of money out of it? (actual figures not needed ), and do you think contestants get far too much out of it nowadays, with the likes of The Twins reported at earning over a million already?

look it is me ..Stuart that is not P..shead even he would have got bored by now and why would he mention teabagbin.com and my web site stuarthosking.tv and my agent Modelplan...

Not playing any more on the is it him game.. cause I win ..lol - I suppose I could always argue with ya.. WINK or do some exercises as this is all I do right ??? lol

so the question did I make money - well did you see the paypacket of John Riise - that is nothing ... lol - I wish..

What you need to understand that everyone has an agent who take between 20 - 30% dependant on how well you negotiate, then the tax man takes 40% and a bit of NI - so a reported 100k Paid for a story = to a HM about 30k - if they dont work and let face it they generally dont for a few years its not a lot per year...

Indeed. Who'd have thought that BB would have developed into the phenomenon that it is now. So you're happy you put yourself through the ordeal then?

Not a bad claim to fame - first 2 series were as real as they get ... and I was involved in break through TV in UK..

Glad to see we are passed the 'can't believe it's Stuart' stage:laugh:
He's been here for years people:wink:
Now to BB2 I still feel like a bore that's stuck in the past but with the exception of an odd CBB series I've just not enjoyed any of them as much as BB2.
The mad thing is that if you had gone into one of the more recent BB's I think you'd have stayed longer Staurt.
I remember quite well that the reason you were evicted was partly down to being against Paul and partly because you had an argument or two.In those days arguments were rare these days they make housemates popular:shrug:

Hi Stuart! Glad you decided to re-visit the forum.

You mentioned you are still in contact with Amma. After that awful argument in the house are things okay between you now? What is she up to nowadays?

Just thought of that quote that you "were the biggest winker in the house". Do you still like to wink?

Of all the occurances!

I was just down the pub playing on the ITBOX, and it was a celebrity guessing game...and who's picture should come up... but Stuart's! Of course I got it immediately and thought it was pretty funny because Stuart was only on TiBB this morning. It all happened very fast which is why my phone picture took his head off, but just here it is anyway lol

ps. who's the girl in the pic Stuart?

Hi Everyone, and thanks Rach, Di2001 and Mark

Mark ! OMG where on earth did you get that picture, I noticed your in Oxford and so am I - better tell me which pub I should avoid or am I on all those machines ....lol - That pic was ages ago at an event in London and the girl a good friend SJ ..

In regard to the other questions, of course I am still winking but more wincing at Marks photo at the moment..

Amma and I were friends in the show and have remained friends, it was a silly argument that we both got carried away with and thought no one would be watching ..DOH ! but are well over it... we have laughed about it and I guess without that you maybe would have forgotten me by now... ummmmmm ???

Amma has been doing some acting and singing and is in great shape.

Thanks for all the messages - off now to go and destroy all the ITBOX quiz machines.. or at least get them to spell my surname without an S on the end ..lol

Have a great weekend everyone and as I said always flattered to hear from you all so any questions you have or thoughts - fire away...

Stuart xx

Nice to catch up on how the BB2 hms are doing. Stu, I still have the argument you had with Amma etched on my memory. It was a classic moment and Im glad you made up and are friends.

As sad as this is going to sound I still have about 3 or 4 old video tapes of the BB2 highlights gathering dust in the loft somewhere. I did have more but taped over them. I would like at some stage to collect the entire highlights of the series purely for nostalgia purposes, if it is possible to get them. There was a really cute moment in the final week (which I taped over and wish I still had) when Dean was alone in the garden and some kids shouted over the fence "Helen get your **** out!". Helen came bouncing out of the house asking Dean what they said. Dean trying to be tactful told Helen they shouted "Helen we love you", but Helen thought differently after she saw Dean and Brian whispering. It was one of the nice moments of the series.

What is sad is that the house where the two first BBs took place was bulldozed to make way for a housing development.

Anyway I could be here all day talking about BB2.

I do have some questions for Stu. Do you ever watch BB 2 and if you do what emotions do you go through? Do you have any regrets about anything you said or did on the show?

Hi .Thanks for the comments..

The Helen bit was in Week 3 I remember it as I was there ..lol and Dean was great as we all heard exactly what was said..

Never have watched it .. apart from on You tube my eviction is there and I was intrigued to see what sort of reaction I got when I left the house as I was fearfull it was like current years ..thankfully if you ever see it ..it was alright ...

No regrets, I was 100% true to myself and for that you got the real me ... shame only the exercising, winking and arguing was the main feature ...lol

Nah, this incident happened in the final week, Stu, as there was only 4 housemates left: Dean, Brian, Helen and Elizabeth. Dean was in the garden reading a book and was the only housemate to hear what the kids shouted as the other HMs were inside. After it all happaened and accepting Dean's answer, Helen and Liz went back inside the house when Helen noticed Dean whispering to Brian what they really shouted, then she came out and put two and two together suspecting Dean was telling a fib, which he did probably in order not to upset Helen, but amazingly Helen laughed it off and guessed correctly and said to Dean "they probably shouted 'Helen get your tits out'". Ask Dean next time you see him and he will remember.

And I think the crowd were a bit mean to you at your eviction and the reunion but take comfort it wasn't a fraction as bad as the treatment other contestants received in later series and something I have been a constant critic of (not that anyone took any notice!)

supernoodles!
