A naked photograph of High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens has appeared on the internet.

The 18-year-old actress, who is dating her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron, is seen posing nude in a hotel room in the revealing picture.

Hudgens' representative confirmed that the photograph is genuine, telling Us Weekly: "This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public."

I agree with most people.

Vanessa is a human being. Just because she is part of the Disney company doesnt mean she doesnt have a life.

As a supporter of Paris Hilton who went through the same thing but with a video, at the age of 19, I will always support someone who goes through this. As I know what an affect it had on Paris, it must have an even BIGGER effect on Vanessa.

It's terrible that someone leaked the picture. She's 18, and what she did is hardly that bad. It's such a shame because since she's on Disney, a lot of youngsters have visions of her that will probably be tainted by what they see and read on the Internet now.

Despite all this, I wish her the best of luck in the future anyway. It's not exactly the same as what has happened with previous celebrities, because of her image and the fact that it was private, so I really do hope the future still has plenty of ideal opportunities.

Edit: The nude one is ok, the underwear ones are a bit saucier but when I was a kid we had Gail Porter presenting Fully Booked and she was getting them out left right and centre.
