Not officially at least. If you import one from America the phone features won't work, so you would be just as well buying the iPod Touch, which is a phoneless iPhone.

The iPod Touch is basically an iPhone without the phone features. It's released at the end of this month - there's an 8gb model for £199 and a 16gb model for £269.

Thanks matt so if i import one from america it wont work how is that.

In America, they are only available on one network as an exclusive, and subsequently all iPhones in America are locked to that network.

There are hacks available, but I've heard Apple are taking legal action against the hackers.

Nah. The top-priced iPod has 8gb more storage than the iPhone.

Personally I would only go for the iPhone if you really need the phone and e-mail features. The iPod Touch has wi-fi, so it can still surf the web, and it still has YouTube. There's also the new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store aswell, which means you dont have to be at your PC to download songs on iTunes.

And, like I said, the more expensive iPod Touch has 8gb more storage. It is also expected to be slightly cheaper than the iPhone too.

ive got an ipod problem as well

i currently have the 5th Generation and now i want the ipod touch but which one do i buy

do i pay £199 for 8GB (have 7 GB On Itunes at the moment)
Or
Do i pay £260 For 16GB (Which i probably wont use up before i get the next ipod that comes out)

i need to make my mind up soon coz all the ipod will be bought
