There's too many people who are only interested in marketing her and are not interested in her well-being. She might be a superstar, but she's also a person, and it seems that there aren't enough people near her who see that.

Britney threatened to ditch her VMA performance just minutes before she took the stage. Want to know why? Britney overheard Sarah Silverman rehearsing her monologue in which she calls Britney’s babies mistakes and takes jab after jab at Britney.
Britney made it very clear with MTV that Sarah was NOT allowed to talk about her kids, and MTV agreed. That big-mouthed bitch said it anyway.
Sam Lufti (VMA producer) was overheard backstage screaming at Sarah Silverman because of her outrageous remarks saying: “Sarah Silverman is a seriously unprofessional person to make fun of infants to get a laugh.”

I don't see what's wrong with the performance really - she looked a bit scared at times, but after the times she's been through this past year - it'd be scary as Hell going back to the limelight like that.

Personally, I think it's all down to nerves - the majority of the world have been waiting for her big comeback and she must know that. It wasn't the best performance I've ever seen; it wasn't the worst either.

Fantastic song, fantastic woman - I hope she gets her life back on track before it's too late.

It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's evident that she was scared after all the hype, and considering all she's been through. Luckily for her it's a great song, so it's good that she managed to get a song like that for her comeback. I wish her good luck for the future though, so that she manages to pull off a great performance sometime soon.

I like the song but that wasn't a great performance. I think it was nerves from making a comeback so soon after everything that's happened to her, she will probably regain her confidence in time.

From what I read in the papers and here I expected it to be AWFUL. But it was ok. Not excellent, not awful- but good.

Shes a good girl, Britney. She doesnt deserve all this.
Same with Lindsay. Theyve made mistakes but deserve treatment and support!

I know, and because it's Britney they know she'll do something that'll make the front pages of their papers. They took her young, unfortunately. She'll have around 15 cars of paps behind her.

I absolutely love the song and that will never change no matter what her performances are like.

I feel sorry for her that she is being criticized so heavily but I'm sure that her manager/agent will have told her to expect it, after all she's been through and a massive performance at the VMA's, there was no way on earth that, even if the performance was absolutely perfect, that someone wasn't going to criticise it.

I'll be perfectly honest, I am a little disappointed, but like it's been said, she hasn't done this for so long, she's been through so much so we can't expect too much from her.
