Well? How long should a series of BB last? I'd say if it's a BB5 style series aka brilliant, then 12 weeks, but if its a BB4/BB8 style flop, 10 weeks.

15 weeks seems to be the most popular vote so far...
As ive always said, whether the extra few weeks are boring or not, you can still draw the exciting 12 or so weeks from it =] only you have an extra three weeks of possible exciting things to watch also.

I'd love a 15 week series, but I think 12 - shorten it a bit for next year to get people more interested, and then bring it up again eventually.

10 weeks.

If the show is too long (BB6, BB7, BB8), we are left with a bunch of average housemates because all of the big characters are taken from the show earlier in the game, meaning we have quite a few weeks with dullards. This also reflects on the winners (Anthony, Pete, Brian) and the only reason we end up for rushed finale interviews it because six housemates just isn't managable in the time allocated - we even get a double eviction, making the first two interviews 4-5 minutes long at the most.

In my opinion, 11 housemates in a 10 week timescale (just like in BB5) would be the best bet for BB9.

In my opinion, 10-12 housemates in a 10 week timescale would be the best bit for BB9.

The whole "interesting housemates going early" thing could easily be solved with a merged save/evict vote, like in BBAUS - it would also make evictions a lot less predictable.

if it was 10 weeks and 12 HM's then we would have no double or suprise evictions and 3 people left in the finale.....

I can't believe 15 weeks is winning, by week 13 we'd be bored sensless, I say 12. That way BB can always liven it up with tasks and twists in the final weeks if it gets dull. Not just that, most new viewers, curious ones would loose interest if it was 15 weeks.

Lol...
So what job do you do for Big Brother then? just curious.

Im sure there's a Big Brother out there that's supposed to continue forever? people are just evicted, then replaced by new people constantly. So if people really like you, you could potentially live there forever.

Does anyone know which country that particular Big Brother is from?

IIRC, they tried that in Germany and it lasted exactly one year, but i'm no expert on BB outside the UK

and as for what i did on BB, i won't say exactly (needing to keep anonymous and all that jazz), but i only work while the series is live.

Ah ok, no worries =]
You're a runner aren't you? you run around fetching drinks for everyone..I knew it!
Lol, just messing.

I suppose a year is still quite decent, that's providing it's the same Big Brother I was talking about.
Imagine Big Brother for an entire year, always on channel 4 every night and E4 most of the day for 365 days. By the time the winner gets out, we'd either be so bored of them we wouldn't care, or we'd have been waiting so long they'd shoot to a higher level of fame than other Big Brother winners.

Lol I agree...
Big Brother series constantly being produced, one after the other.
Though, to be fair, it may result in us being so used to the goings on in Big Brother that it simply doesn't become entertaining anymore.

Nothing would shock us.
Nothing would interest us.
Nothing would be new to us.
And we'd be exhausted having to keep up and try to constantly be updated with the latest goings on all year round, every year, forever >_<

So maybe it would backfire.

Friday 1: Launch - 12 housemates.
Friday 2: Nothing.
Friday 3: First eviction - 11 housemates.
Friday 4: Second eviction - 10 housemates.
Friday 5: Third eviction - 9 housemates.
Friday 6: Fourth eviction - 8 housemates.
Friday 7: Fifth eviction - 7 housemates.
Friday 8: Sixth eviction - 6 housemates.
Friday 9: Seventh eviction - 5 housemates.
Friday 10: Eighth eviction - 4 housemates.
Friday 11: Finale.

I don't think I mentioned there wouldn't be a week one eviction.

I'm not a big fan of surprise or double evictions either.
