Silent Hill 2 (Movie) and possibly Silent Hill 3 (Movie)

The second installment of the Silent Hill series leads journalist Brett Cartland into Portland, Maine to work on a documentary about the abandoned mining town of Silent Hill. He finds himself trapped inside of a closing shopping mall with a mysterious young woman named Kara. The exits are blocked and a series of odd noises from an unknown section of the mall lead to an unimaginable terror. Kara and Brett go deep into Silent Hill during the second act of the film in the search of her true identity. He quickly learns that there is more to her past than she is letting on.

Im guessing this is a Film adaption of the third game
since Brett shares the same job and last name with Douglas Cartland
also the woman in the game has a hidden past
and the first scenes of SH3 take place in a Mall

In October 2007, an interview with Roby Lee revealed that the "plot outline on the IMDB, for SILENT HILL 2, is very false" and that the upcoming sequel is going to be based on one of the games, although he could not say which one. He went on to say that the character he is set up to read for was not originally in the games, but he assured Silent Hill fans the character is not the lead role.

it could be SH2 cause he said the plot for SH2 (Movie) wasnt the one on imdb (SH3) , which points toward it being either 4 or 2!!!:dance::dance:

The only thing about the first movie was a lot of people thought Sharon and Rose had died, they hadnt they where just stuck in Foggy Silent Hill

We're here live at the Spike TV Scream Awards where we just talked to writer Roger Avery on the black carpet. Avery tells Bloody-Disgusting that the only way he'll write Silent Hill 2 is if director Christophe Gans returns, which he is pretty sure he won't.
