my thoughts are people who dont like the games can ignore them. No-one is forcing anyone to go in and look at them, so if they dont wanna play them then fine fair enough, but there are poeple who want tehm to go ahead

Yes but there annoying for some of us, it's just like everday you come on and there's a different game.

The calender idea is good. People should book dates with the admins that they are looking at running them. That way no-ones shows will run at the same time.

I dont have an issue with games on the forum as long as they have involved planning and thought.
Also we ask that every idea for a game with its plan comes to the Mods/Admin so we can look at what it will involve, timescales, competitors, idea behind game, how many threads it will take. If we get a good plan we can do what was done for the apprentice and set up a section that does not take over the whole forum.
I personally will not hesitate to lock threads that pop up all over the place and bring nothing to the general population of the forum which is why we need to be consulted.
I think the + - games ae going a bit ott aswell
Fine billy if you say ignore them but like 20 threads were made on TiBB TV, and it hadnt even begun.

I think we should limit them perhaps? unless they are only small threads like rate the next member or something. Perhaps we should say like '6 major games' a year or something?
well said Dezzy that is a brilliant idea cool one :thumbs2::thumbs2:

One thing to do is to move the quiz like games into the chat room where they work better. I believe that was suggested in one of the threads last night. The chat room is more interactive than the main site and more suited to that sort of game.
Another thing is rules. The games must have clearly laid down rules before they start if they are not going to turn into fights. All parties need to agree to the rules and stick by them.

I think "The Apprentice" and a few other games worked out well, it's nice to have a time-filler between series of Big Brother and to keep people coming here etc.
When the games descend into spamming, confusion and arguments between members, that's when we need to draw the line. I think at the end of the day we should all have fun and not take things too seriously, that's what "The Apprentice" was about for me, a bit of fun!

Also if anyone is planning to run a game, then do as Red says, write the rules clearly, then send an outline of the game along with the rules to Admin/Mods for discussion, you should include:
Rules of the game
How many participants
How many threads you might use - if not using the chat room
Who will be responsible for the game - should be more than one person
Tasks - what are you going to do during the game
How long will it last
When you have written your plan send it to any Mod or Admin who is online, they will paste it into the Admin section where we can discuss whether it is appropriate for this forum.
