i was worried a few weeks back when a friend of mine asked my help when her mother had some breathing difficulties and was struggling, really struggling she asked me whether i knew anything about First aid and i felt so useless and said "No, sorry?" anyway luckily she was okay after a bit it was just her asthma playin up
anyroads, since then i looked at some websites and i have learnt quite a bit and im glad i did cause i felt so useless. one site i saw http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/first_aid/what_is_first_aid/whydoineedtoknow_index.shtml was quite startling specially these statistics

6 Burns, scalds (84,000)
7 Pinching or crushing injuries (79,000)
8 Bites, stings (72,000)
9 Puncture wounds (54,000)
10Suspected poisonings (33,000)

i would wished i had paid more attention when it was taught to us at school but i must have been daydreamin or summin anyroads whatever i didnt pay attention to then i certainly do now thats a sure thing. i would worry bout doing mouth to mouth with someone to revive them. that takes more than diagrams and written explanations to tackle that
i nearly choked on a sweet once and i went blue so my dad says. Richard madeley nearly choked to death on a piece of meat it was the Heimlich manoeuvre which saved him
I did a short course at school, remember most of it.

i felt like you honestly and i felt so awful, please look at some of those websites on first aid, it may be a family member or a close close friend that needs your help so badly

I think if I saw someone in trouble, I would just try to calm them down and call the police, it would be safe for both of us lol really I am so dippy I don't know my ass from my elbow

i'm a bit like that at times, dont worry bout bein dippy your not alone, but calling ambulance/police in emergencies if you cant help is the good choice but if someone is nearby try to ask for help nearby, maybe someone else can help when you cant. when someone is struggling for air there ai'nt much time:bawling:
