The results show for Strictly Come Dancing has been moved to a Sunday evening slot with a brand new 45-minute programme.

The new show, now extended by 15 minutes, will include more behind-the-scenes footage, extra dancing, and more musical performances.

It will now fall to the judges to decide which celebrity is to leave on the Sunday show, while viewers will enjoy an extra hour on Saturdays to vote for their favourite contender after the performances to decide the bottom two.

On the Saturday programme, the judges will now have to decide which celebrity is being kicked off, while viewers will have an extra hour from the end of the performances to vote for their favourite to stay in.

During the Sunday instalment, the bottom two couples will have to perform a dance-off, leaving the judges to decide who should stay and who should leave.

Head judge Len Goldman will have the deciding vote if there is a 50/50 divide in the decisions.

The new series of Strictly Come Dancing will begin on Saturday, October 6 on BBC One. The results show will start on Sunday, October 7.

I don't know if times clash but it it looks like CDC might have some from SCD Results.

Is it just me or does the new format have a slight whiff of The X Factor around it?

That's exactly like the American version of the show, except I'm not sure on the judges deciding on who stays.

I can't wait for it to start though! :dance2:
