It's one of the british thing I hate the most (with chicken-marmelade and X-Factor). Ewww my english family, drunk the tea at 5pm, it was so dull lol It's so posh "do you want a cup of tea ?" Fortunatly the biscuits were awesome.

I drink tea a lot, while I've been at home and my bloke's been busy I've been drinking a lot of tea lately and offering my bloke a cup cos I'm generous like that.

I like Tetley tea best, that's why I've always got some in the cupboard. Occasionally I'll buy Yorkshire Tea as a treat now and again cos I like that too!

Even if it was a joke, calling somebody a 'monster' for no apparent reason is out of order, that's what I think anyway.

Shaun
27-09-2007, 08:40 PM
Well then, you need to lighten up.

I'm sorry MarkChap?! and mrs_rko if I offended you, but it was just a mock-reaction to your dislike for tea, haha.

Callum
27-09-2007, 08:41 PM
Ha. In fact you'll find I don't need to lighten up, at all.

I was just making a valid point that calling somebody a 'monster' was wrong.

I remember a line from Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Q "Why does the human prefer boiled leaves"

A "Because he is a stupid monkey that doesn't know any better"

Shaun
27-09-2007, 08:43 PM
And if you can't see the context I said the word in, then you do need to lighten up.

If I thought badly of them, I'd have said something worse, and the use of the crying symbol quite obviously suggested I was joking.

Callum
27-09-2007, 08:44 PM
The thing is though Bugsy, in my eyes that was classed as a personal insult. Even if it was a joke, obviously nobody found it very funny.

Shaun
27-09-2007, 08:45 PM
Oh whatever, I can't be bothered with you any more. I know I was joking, and if you're going to take offense then so be it - I'm sorry if you do.

Callum
27-09-2007, 08:46 PM
Fine, be like that. I have nothing against you Bugsy, but personally I found that pretty insulting.

No, I shan't. You're making me out to look like this argumentative and insulting prat, when I'm really not. I apologised to Mark and mrs_rko, but didn't need to be called 'insulting'.

Look. This has all blown out of proportion. Sometimes, tea hurts. Sometimes, it doesn't. But let us always be very clear: when the sugar starts falling, the horses rush home.

Shaun
27-09-2007, 09:06 PM
Very well. I'll take your warning and proceed to walk around on eggshells for the rest of my time here. I'd like to think people would be able to pick up on my sarcasm, but apparently some people can't.

Sorry to everyone, I'll shut me mouth in future.

I really like tea. It's so relaxing. I can deal with just about any type at all. Milk, no milk, sugar, no sugar, not to mention any brand of tea.
But at home I think we have Tetley. And if given the choice, I'd normally go for tea with just milk.
