After hearing BB Germany is considered one of, if not the best BB in the world I wanted to ask this question.
So what is your favourite BB Germany?

I'm the only member here to have watched the seriesn maybe Arneldo but I'm not sure if Aaron did.
Obviously, BB6: The Village, I loved it, during a year I was watching either the forums with the pics and the videos.

By the way, BB7 is called "Back to Basics" as it did last 150 days, no twists, one house, 15 housemates and the same format as BB1.

Haha I think I have to explain the idea:
Well a real village has been built, the biggest house in every single BB series in the world. It contains 3 houses, poor house, middle house, rich house, a gym and a lounge-bar. They got 3 jobs: the farm, the car station and the modelling center.
5 housemates per house, they win their own bank account every week by the work they have done.
After each eviction, a new housemate enter and this during a whole year. Finally the winner won 250.000 Euros + his Jackpot.
It last only a year because the ratings weren't good at the end.

Oh. Two things though. If people kept on coming into the Village what was the point on evictions and how could there be a winner?

Actually it was just ot make things fresh if some people have been evicted and some entering in there. Imagine a whole year with the same housemates. The last "old" housemates from day 1 was Virgina and she was out in day 342.
The winner has been decided by the public votes as always, among 5 other finalists. At some point, the producers decided to stop putting new housemates as a winner had to be crowned.
Some facts:
•Big Brother: Das Dorf (meaning The Village), is also known as Big Brother Forever, as there was no end date. The show ran indefinitely until poor ratings brought it to an end 2 days less than the duration of BB5.
•Guiseppe was the winner of the 250,000 Euro Jackpot in August 2005
•Housemates Nicole & Ali were also housemates in Big Brother 5 Germany
•Housemates Frank and Ginny are father and daughter.
•Housemates Ludger and Married are a married couple.
•Housemates Beate and Birgit are identical twins.

Did it have the best ratings up until it was cancelled?

I don't know anything for the ratings, all have been really successful, especially the last one. The German viewers wanted really to go back to basics after 3 years in a different format.

What was different about Series 5?
Well series 4 was a battle between 2 houses.
BB5 between 3 houses but it wasn't a village, just a big house.

The rich/poor divide was created by the Dutch BB in 2001, BBUk copied it.

Oh right. I don't think too many people liked the rich/poor divide anyway.
