I LOVE this programme
Peter is my fave! I also like Stewie as he is evil!!!!
one thing though can anyone apart from Brian her Stewie talk?
Lauren

There have been some instances were Lois has heard Stewie talk but generally others can't hear.
I lurve it.

I started a thread about the Star Wars episode. Didn't think it was up to the amazing standards of all the other episodes. Concentrated too much on Star Wars in jokes and it didn't have those "It was just like the time when . . ." jokes which are the best and most random.

I have always wondered its confusing me Lol
Quagmire is weird but totally funny

I'd say Family Guy is miles better than the Simpsons nowadays but back in the golden age of the Simpsons, the Simpsons was lightyears ahead of Family Guy.

It's also on FX and BBC 3 :D

True, The Simpsons got reliant on Homer, and you cant find "D'oh" funny for so long

So agree. But when it was good it was really good!
Stil theres no point on looking at the past! Family Guy is the best cartoon on nowadays.
Also what do you think of American Dad? I think its alright but relies to much on Stan to get humour.

American Dad is hilarious...start a thread :)

If its made by the same people it can't be a rip-off. Anyway Family Guy is a rip-off of the Simpsons.

I know... I once saw a sequence showing Homer Simpson looking through a book... on one page he saw a picture of Peter Griffin with the word "Plagiarismo" beneath it - he then turned the page to reveal a picture of Stan Smith with the phrase "Plagiarismo di plagiarismo" below it! 'Twas classic!

'Twas indeed.
The rest of the episode was quite poor though.
Has anyone seen the youtube video with Family Guy and The Simpsons similarities. Its quite revealing to how much Family Guy copies the Simpsons.
Of course I've seen a few jokes nowadays in the Simpsons that were in Family Guy first!
The Simpsons is, was and always will be the best.
Family Guy is great too, but I prefer The Simpsons :)

Simpson's isn't edgy enough for me.
I want insults and prejudice slapped all over my television screen - just tonights family guy episode managed to attack blacks, jews, and women. Love it.

The Simpsons hasn't got anything on Family Guy - I'd happily say that Family Guy was my favourite cartoon/comedy show ever.

Haha, yes, Bruce is great.
And the camp bee (voiced by him) too. "Hey y'all. Buzz, buzz, buzz! Y'all be careful I don't sting y'all with my stinger. But I'm not going to sting you. And that's my personal choice. I'm just gonna go over there and suckle on that stigma for a while."

I love Family Guy, so many great episodes, ilove the episode Petarded when Peter pretends to be retarded and theres this funny bit i love:
Lois: Okay, Peter, this is for the win. Say the word "what".
Peter: Oh...wow. Okay, um...this, uh, really separates the men from the boys. Uhhhh...[exhales]
Lois: Peter, just say "what."
Peter: Ah, ah, ah, ah, now Lois, Lois, this is not a race. Um, okay I wanna say "who"...uh, oh boy, uh...Fantastic Four...Fantastic Four, uh, steak, steak, steak, steak, uh, small amount of peas...um, is it "what"?
Lois: That's right. You win, Peter! You did it!
Peter: OH MY GOD!
I always thought they could never churn out anything quiet as good as the first series of Family Guy. My favourite series, per episode, though it is still a million miles away from being as good as South Park, Simpsons, etc.
These days im just sick of Family Guy. The whole format of flashback-80's nostalgia-more flashbacks-more 80's nostalgia just gets really old, really fast, and beyond the jokes the show has no points to make.

The episode where Peter gets a mustache:
Bruce (on the phone):
Hey Jeffrey, Peter Griffin got a mustache!
No Way?!?
I know!!!!
LOL he IS the best character on that show....probably because he is only on every few episode, at best.

i love family guy although get a bit bugged with bbc3 repeating the same ones over and over

I disagree, Stu. For me the first few series of FG are dismal in comparison to the new stuff. It's a lot slower [both the voices and the wit], and although the constant [random] flashbacks nowadays can get a little predictable and tiresome... old Lois/Chris/Meg just sound silly.
In other news, regarding my avatar.
OH NOOOOOOOO.

I can't watch the older ones that much, feels like a different show. I actually don't find them that funny compared to last few seasons.

Just found out Season 10 started in Late September, so now we have 6 episodes to watch!
What annoys me about most of the newies is the vanishing of Cutaways Jokes :bawling:
Here in Australia for the DVD releases the Seasons are not correct,
for examlple (not accurate making it up but you'll get the gist:)
if you were to buy say, Season six you would get the end of Season 5 until some of six, usually totalling 13 episodes. It angers me and makes me not buy them!
Plus there are (in Aus on dvd) what I consider 'missing eps'; a few (3 I think)from the end of season 3; one of them is the George W. Bush episode and the other is the Viewer Mail Episode.
~
I just (re) watched the OJ episode (The Juice is Loose), there is a whole Conway Twitty Song!!!
It was cool in the last season there was a whole clip of a Jagger/Bowie Song. Altough some would hate it; and the Conway stuff.
All in all I really hope the Cutaways are back in full force!! :bawling:
